  1. Hi Annabanana, :o)

Your link did not work. The candles and supplies I have is out of PA rather than Ohio. Do you have another link or are you perhaps referring to

http://www.makesscentscandles.com/ which is linked to candle-supplies.com

(without the "S" on 'candles') ?

    Thanks much! :)

I use spiced sugar plum from www.Candles-Supplies.com in Ohio. It is so strong when I tested it in 415 and 464. Good luck. This one is almost too much. I reccomend using less that 1oz pp
  2. Wow! Thanks for the awesome mixing ideas. I'll definitely give them a try. The Cranberry / Patchouli sounds really nice as does the patchouli/orange clove! Ok...I'll HAVE to try one of these...if not both...over the weekend. You've both been a huge help.

I'm wondering how patchouli and 'Brown Sugar-Fig' might blend. Hmmm.

Has anyone tried those 2 together?

    Thanks guys!

    Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllll ...

You know, I really wonder what a patch and cranberry blend would be like, even those two together with say a splash of vanilla, and then maybe another blend that might be patch and balsam with a touch of mint and ... (oh now you have me wanting to try this out lol!)

Patch and cinnamon, patch and sandalwood, patch and clove or an orange clove would probably be really nice, patch and vanilla might work well, but seems rather blah to me, because vanilla would tone that patch down and us hippy heads might not love it as much.

Goodness if you had cinnamon balsam and patch I bet it would be nice too.

If you try any of these, please let me know how they went as I don't get to experiment for now :(

  3. Thanks much! :)

Could you recommend a good Christmas "mixer" for patchouli?

Or does that scent go with anything in the Christmas category? :)

There are better ones. While the EO appears to be the ultimate, I don't think you're gonna want to pay the price IF you can find it.

Soooooooo look at Tri-State or Peaks (IMO)

  4. Hi ladies and gents,

I've never cared for Patchouli but a lot of my customers have asked for it. I have a small sampler by BCS but I really have no idea what patchouli is supposed to smell like. Is BC's a good match? or are there better ones out there?

    TIA! :)

  5. Thanks Sharon!

I'll be looking forward to your 'Christmas Tree' test results. :)

Oh...and thanks too for the more detailed description!

    Mt Annie!

Mt. Annie~ I am currently testing the Christmas Tree in 50/50, I really like the scent...it is a pine, but a nice sweet pine to my nose...I will post more details in a few days..I'm gonna move it into a bigger room tonight, it did well last night in my bathroom...

I also lit the Eggnog, it is sweet and creamy, no spice here, again, I will post more on throw in a few days, but the preliminary tests are good! :yay:

  6. Bert, How is the Butterscotch? Is it good and strong? Would anyone else like to comment on that one?

Also, does the Warm Vanilla Sugar have a really good and strong HT?

I've also heard a lot of comments on the Christmas Tree. Does this one have a strong pine scent? (Predominantly pine?) Most "tree/pine" scents are too much like pine-sol, or "pine-straw-up-the-nose" for me. :2cents:

    All comments are most welcome!

  7. Hi Bert! :yay:

Sooo glad that you joined us! Are your NEW scents just sort of thrown in with the old ones on your ebay site or do you have a "NEW" scent list/link page somewhere that I'm missing? It looks like you have over 130 FOs on ebay! How do i find just the new ones without going through the entire list? Not that I would mind going through all the yummies again.....I just don't have the time!

    Hugs...

  8. Ok thanks much Carrie. I'll tell her and I'll also have her check out the MMS.

    ---------------------

I would use the Hydrosols. Look at the list MMS offers, i bet she would like some of those. The only other thing I can think of, is she may be using Essential Oils. These are still oil based, but a lighter oil that regular fragrance oils. But I bet in time they will still clog the fountain. Hydrosols are water based fragrances.
  9. Thank you Carrie. I've just spoken with her on IM and she says she uses refresher oils mixed with the water and that's what causes the shimmery oily effect and nice strong scent from the fountain. However...she may be using water-based oils. She doesn't know if her usual refresher is water-based or oil-based. Would you still recommend the hydrosols?

    ============================

i doubt they would be safe for the simple fact that they are oils and they would not blend well with the water. They would probably just clog up the fibers in the fountain. She may want to use Hydrosols. Those are basically scented water - flower/fruit water. MMS has some

  10. Hi ladies and gents....

I have a question that I was hoping that you could help me with. I have a customer who wants to purchase FOs for her water fountains. Presumably the type that the water flows through fibers and also has fragranced oils in it. Do any of you know if most of the FOs from the major suppliers are safe for such? If not safe, could you please explain why they *aren't so that I could let her know?

    Thanks much in advance!
