  7. The honey gingerbread from BW smells like a honey graham cracker to me..I poured a *new tester* candle in this scent and let it cure for a week and the hot throw this time was much better..The first one I poured I only let it cure for two days and didn't get any hot throw..Not a true gingerbread but definately a great graham cracker..Karen~
  8. I have a sample of BW cinnamon buns,I will try it in tarts..What is a good sugar cookie for tarts?I made some with WSP sugar cookie oil and it smells great in a candle but in a tart it smells more like tanning lotion to me :undecided Maybe it's just me, but I didn't like the tarts as much as I did a candle in this oil..Just poured some sugar cookie tarts with Flickers oil, so I will see how they turn out once I melt a few..Thanks everyone for the replies,I will definately get a few samples from the suggestions to test! Karen~

  11. Well,I melted a one pound block of beeswax and added 1.5 ounces of fragrance..I got 20 tarts out of it..So,I guess the molds are not a true one ounce each..Just seeing if they would frost, which they did not..I am in the testing stage for tarts, which I have only had luck with the pure beeswax not frosting..But at the cost I will find something cheaper..The 416 frosted really bad,the soy beeswax mix frosted as well just not as bad..KY is supposed to have a good tart wax,so I may try that..Thanks,Karen~
  12. I actually made 20 of the pure beeswax tarts and am currently letting them cure before testing..(one ounce wax for each tart)I get my beeswax for approximately $4.95 per pound,so 20 of them would be one pound and four ounces.."If" I sell them @ $1 each that is a profit~right?!I used 1.5 oz of wyw cinnamon sticks for scent..They absolutely did not frost what so ever and have kept their rich dark brown color..My question is I wasn't sure if they would be safe in a melter?Although I have read you need a harder wax for tarts..Beeswax is definately a hard wax..I also made some last week with a beeswax soy mix and those frosted as well..The pure beeswax tarts look beautiful..Thanks! Karen~
  13. Just curious if anyone makes tarts with pure beeswax?Just wondering if pure beeswax is safe for melters?I tried the 416 tart wax and they turned out with lots of frosting.. Thanks! Karen~

  18. I tested the honey gingerbread and did not get a good hot throw although it smelled heavenly..I only let my 16oz candle cure two days before lighting though..Maybe I need to re test and cure it longer..Anyone else getting a hot throw in soy with honey gingerbread?I think I will test a sample of Peaks as well..I don't care for the buttery scents they make me sick.. Thanks! Karen~
  19. Thinking of trying Peaks gingerbread cookies..Does it have a great hot throw in soy?Is it a realistic spicy gingerbread? I ordered some buttery gingerbread from WYW,and the hot throw isn't too amazing..Any suggestions on a good throwing spicy gingerbread from another supplier or is Peaks pretty good? I have tried and tested so many but still haven't found THE GINGERBREAD after all this time Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..No applesauce or orange notes..Just spicy gingerbread..Didn't like Cierra's, too bitter for me..
