  1. Thank you Rosie, I actually tried that stuff a few years back , it wasnt that bad but the price changed my mind. Now I am at it again but the price now is insane , with the shipping cost 2 lbs would be $30 and I will not be able to frost a whole lot of soap cupcakes with 2# :( .

    Jack it was actually your cupcake mold/video I was talking about that was very nice looking. I really dont want to do a mold but I am rethinking that. I actually have tried this recipe and although its probably the best one out there, it dries spongy and feels a tad bit firmer than an easter peep and dissolves rather quickly. I would have to suggest for people to pop the top off and pull a piece of it off to use with a shower pouf. Although its not such a bad thing its just really not what I am trying to achieve. I think I just need to suck it up and delve into CP soaping LOL. I greatly appreciate you and Rosie taking the time to find these links for me and offer help. Thank you both so much.

  2. I have been trying everything under the sun to make a pipeable frosting made with M&P. I am trying to achive the high tops not the look of an actual frosted cupcake and I dont want to mold them. Although there are some really cute ones out there its just not what I am looking to achieve. I tried adding liquid glycerin, liquid hand soap, shea butter & fractionated coconut oil, and I have tried boiling water. I am only able to make 1 topping. Hardly worth the efforts IMO. I am to afraid to work with lye and make CP soap. I found something in my searchings that you can use SCI noodles ,coco betaine,slsa,cetyl alcohol. Does this qualify as soap? I know the first 2 ingre. are surfactants but does this stuff act like soap? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  3. WOW !! I couldnt believe it ! I got home from work yesterday and found a package in my mail box. Jodys came through for me. She replaced my vanilla browning neutrilizer without hastle or redtape. Sorry some of you had issues that werent resolved with her but I guess people change by realizing you will get nowhere fast if you cant keep customers happy. I was upset to even think this happened but all in all , I am very happy now that she made things right. Thank you all for sharing your stories and I wish you could have had better results with her like I did. I did learn a valuable lesson from this though. I will no longer assume the product in the bottle is what I order. I will always check it right away.

  4. Thank you all for your responses. Unfortunately I cant file a dispute with PP cuz like said I put the stuff away till I used up what I had from another supplier and I think its been more than 30 days. I could kick myself. From now on I will be sure to REALLY check my products of purchase before assuming I have exactly what I ordered. Apparently she runs out of something and tries to pass it off with something else. Well I can only hope other people from here will read this and take caution and learn from my mistake.

  5. I hope I am posting this in the right location. I am wondering if anyone has had an issue with Jodys? I have ordered about 4 or 5 times from her. One time I ordered supplies and a few fos and another time the supplies and different fos only to find that 2 different feng shui fos were exactly the same smell. I figured it was an honest mistake and took the hit only because I liked the fo anyways so in reality it wasnt a loss. This time I ordered the crafters choice vanilla neutrilizer with my order. I didnt even take notice of the 2 ~ 8 oz bottles. I just checked the label and put them in the cabinet. I used up what I had left from another supplier and cracked open my new bottle, only to find it smelled like vanilla fo. Then I noticed the color was not clear but golden like fo. Those of you that have used the crafters choice neutrilizer know there is no wayyyy this is what is in my bottles. I have 1# of this stuff and whatever I use it in smells like vanilla, the smell does not go away. I have emailed her 3 times in the past 8 days plus called her and left a message and I am really loosing my patience. Just curious if anyone has had the same experience with her and what you did to get the issue resolved.

  6. Thats a good idea chuck, I think I will gives some to my friends to try. Maybe my smeller is broken. Although, my DH didnt smell them either:confused: . I am still going to hand some out.

    Candybee~ I am using CS reddig chips. candles have actually cured for at least a month or so. Sorry I wasnt clear about jars and such. I am doing everything at once. New jars and trying to find the right wick plus coloring. Maybe I should step back one and make some without color then work from there. Just seems weird that not one wick worked. I also tried the cds which I forgot to mention in my first post.

    I am wondering if maybe it could be something with the wax. Its the same wax (464) but its a different box. Just to weird to me.

    Anyways I purchased some cb advanced. It should be here in a couple days. I will see what happens with that. Can someone tell me, I never worked with this wax before, what is a good cure time for this specific wax?

  7. I am not new to making candles just coloring them. I have tried to color my tarts in the past but they would frost so I didnt even bother to venture with colors any further. Now a few years later we want to color them. We have been testing and testing candles only to find the HT is not really happening. I have also had to change the jars we use because the ones we carried before are no longer an option. We have switched to the 8 oz tins, use gb464 wax and have tried LX, HTP, RRD and ecos. Everything else is super. CT, melt pool, the way the candle burns. Either my nose is failing or there really is no HT. I have tested about 12 different fragrances from different companies and these are the ones I used before we used color or tins and they worked great. Does adding color change the HT?

  8. I have had good success using the wilton rubber molds too. Hearts, stars, leaves, pumpkins and such. I just got so frustrated with the cooking cutters b/c it was so hard to pop the melted beads out. I used to always ruin the cutters. with the rubber molds they just pop right out. I actually stopped doing this about a year and a half ago b/c I noticed where there is a steam out let on the front of my stove under the knobs, the enamel actually started coming off. It got me worried about what else could get ruined. I am considering trying to do this again but in an old toaster oven.

  9. I didnt get any notice from them. You need to be careful with emails that sound outlandish from paypal b/c they could be scams from hackers. Although they look legit what happens is you sign into your account from the email you recieved and they end up with your information. I highly doubt they would put a hold on payments for 21 days b/c as a seller you wouldnt be able to send out packages till payment cleared and that just sounds crazy. I have to get to work so I dont have time to sign into my PP account and check the notices to see if it is true but if I were you I would definately contact them. If they say its a fraudulant email then check into changing your password just to be safe. Keep us posted.

  10. I dont know why I felt compelled to protect this suppliers identity but I did. I don't know that I will even use this supplier again. We'll see when I really need something if I break or not.

    The problem has been solved but definately not in a professional manner. It really left a bad taste in my mouth.

    After 4 emails, last one saying

    As much as I hate to say this, my patience is wearing thin with this issue. This will be my 4th email to you and I still have no answers. I told you the pdf has a corrupt font and cannot be read. I would greatly appreciate some answers please.

    It took awhile for her to get back to me and there was no appology or explanation. Just this

    which did work. So, my order is on its way and I pretty much went bonkers for nothing. Alls she had to do was email me back in a timely matter saying there was an error with ups shipping but your order is on its way. I will get your new track # when ups gets back to me.

    ORRRR, Let me check into this issue and I will get back to you ASAP...

    AM I RIGHT ???

    Either way, problem solved.

    A word of advice to suppliers, dont leave your customers hanging in the balance when you already have their hard earned cash. NEVER avoid the situation at hand, confront it. A simple email, I am sorry for the inconvenience and I am checking into the matter....is so quick and effective.

  11. I placed 2 orders from this supplier in the past 8 months and never had a problem. She always answered my questions quickly before I place my order. Well on 7/08 I placed an order for $114.67 and got a ups tracking email on 7/12 that it was being shipped and scheduled delivery was the 15th. I got another email from ups saying my order was cancelled, however, my money has been taken out of my account. I emailed the supplier yesterday morning and heard nothing. I emailed her again this morning, nothing. I emailed her again and she finally, instead of just telling me what was going on, she sent me this

    Dear Customer :

    Your purchase information is attached (& Backordered Items Info if required). You will be receiving a tracking notification e-mail through UPS or USPS.

    Any payments made by credit card will appear on your statement as ........

    along with an attatchment of a pdf file that doesnt even work. I contacted her again to let her know the file wouldnt open because of a font having a problem with cmap or something like that so would she please just let me know what is going on. I still have not heard a word. I am trying to be patient but this is really frying my cookies. As much as I like her selection I dont even know if its worth the aggrevation to order from her again.

  12. OK, you have peeked my interest. Always been curious on how you all do the fundraisers. I never even thought about the legal document mumbo jumbo.   13. Thank you. I will try this. I dont color my lotions either but I would like a slight tint to my body sprays.

    I use just a couple drops of FD&C liquid b&b dye per 32 oz of spray. Just gave it a nice little tint and I've never had any problems with it dying clothes.

    I keep my lotions, sugar scrubs, body butters, etc...all dye free but thought a clear bottle of clear liquid didn't stand out very well.
