  1. EmpressC, more than one ounce per pound of candle wax?

See, that's the problem, the cheap stuff is cut so bad that it doesn't really work.

I've never used it for candles, only soaps and lotion. But yes, you have to use more than usual. There's is just the best version I've ever found, though.

  2. So, I LOVE Shealoe. Bars come out very moisturizing. I have given them as samples to several people, and everyone came back with raving reviews.

I personally didn't even need to use lotion after showering with those.

I don't know if I notice much difference in soap when I add silk though...

How was the soap's lather affected?

  3. Cajun Candle's did not hold up in cp it soaped fine but at 1 oz per lb you can hardly smell it.but never tried it in a candle

Wow! Interesting! I've only used it in M&P and in paraffin wax and in both of those it is SUPER strong. So much that I usually have to go with less the standard amount when using that scent.

  4. Well this is good info. If I ever do a fundraiser, I'll be aware of this potential hazard. Perhaps as part of the "lesson learned", next time just include in your literature that the turnaround time is contingent upon receiving funds in by a specified date. Or, if you packaged the orders individually, you could put a little note in each order explaining the delay. It's a lot of trouble to have to go through, but it will ensure your company name is not tarnished.

So sorry you had to go through that after all your hard work.

  5. Those are some great tilted pillars!!! As mentioned, I didn't tilt mine. I was too afraid for a first try, but next time I will tilt them for sure! Might do some more today.

Well, here's a photo of mine. It wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but close. I've usually only used 4625 wax, but this set is 1343, 3T stearic pp, 1oz FO pp. The pillars are a bit oily. I assume that's FO seepage?

Oh and I do realize that they are leaning. I haven't leveled them yet. :o
