  1. I have ordered a few from Wixnwax, I use Ez soy. The ones that I have try are Love spell, gingerbread, bird of paradise, warm vanilla sugar. ALL the ones I tried had a really GOOD throw in soy wax. I ordered the same FO's from who I normally order from the candlesstoremaker the FO's smelled completely different burning in soy wax, not pleased at all. So i'm going to make some changes and try different suppilers. I want to try GOD's LOVE from wixnwax.

  2. Does anyone know where I could get hanging tags for candle jars that I can't put a label on? Also is there a way to do them yourself on a home computer and printer? Looking at both options buying or homemade. The jar by the way is the 28oz bean pot jar. I've tried the wilton printable tags, like the bridal ones but did't like those.

    Thanks

  3. 15 fluid ounces (by your Pyrex)of wax weighs less than 15 oz. You'll need need to weigh it. Once you figure out how many fl oz you need (by looking at your Pyrex after weighing), you can fill to that line. I have to fill mine past the 16oz mark to get a pound of wax.

So everything is done by weight and not volume. Weight the wax, then weight the FO. O.K. Reason I ask is cause there are times when i have wax left over, like 1oz to 2 oz when filling jar up.

  4. Do you heat your wax in the microwave or in a double boiler-type set up? And I thought if I add the FO at a high temp it would burn off?

    Thanks for your help! :grin2:

I started off heating wax in the microwave, then purchased a presto pot after a few months, and saw a big difference in the way my candles turned out. I think my microwave was to hot. The company I buy my suppiles from recommended adding FO right be for you pour into container to cure. I just stuck with adding it at higher temp. Maybe I'll try some tonight.

  5. Looking for a supplier with the best prices on the 7.5 oz and 12 oz status/metro jars. I'm in VA so the closer the better.

    Thanks!

Taylored Concepts and Longstar Candle supply in texas has those but, I think the www.jarstore.com has a better deal for 36 in case. Also www.soycandle.com in ky I think has the 8 oz ones and www.fancycandlejars.com. oh and www.earlyamericancandlesupplies.com has those, I think they are closer to you.

  6. When my wife and I started %100 soy candles a year ago, the first place we tried was the candlemakersstore. We where used to candle that did not smell strong, so when we got FO from them, it was super strong to us. So far top sellers we have from them is

Rainbow we change the name to Fresh Linen (Top Seller), Sugar Berry very sweet. Mango Papaya, Banana Nut Bread. All very good. Baby Powder IS VERY STRONG

BUT after looking at posts from other candle makers on here and the suppilers they use I think I'm going to try peaks or NG
