  1. I joined a mango and shea butter co-op a month ago. When I recieved my butters they were really soft so I put them in the fridge. They've been their ever since. Is it okay to store them there?

Last weekend I mixed some mango, shea and some organic coconut oil ( from the health store) scented peach, magnolia, rasberry. I let some ladies test it to get their opinions and they are going nuts over it. Alot of them love the way it's solid and then melts when it touches the skin. They are wanting to buy it and I'm scared to sell it. There are no preservatives in it. I have read alot of your post about stuff going bad or growing yuckies. Does anyone know how long it last without preservatives? Days, weeks, months?

    Sorry so long, Tia.

  2. southern Gal how did the rest of your testing go on this?

I like the results I got with 444/474 the best. The 444 takes a deeper color (I compared several different colors) and has a longer burn time which I believe is due to the higher melt point. I still have a few votives left and there is still no cracks, no frosting and they still have an awesome cold and hot throw. HTH

  3. Glad to know I'm not the only one who buys pounds without sniffing first, lol. I didn't know they were having any kind of deal with free shipping though.

Do you recieve their NewsLetter by email? If not, sign up. Last month they had $1.00 samples. This month is buy 6 - 1lb. f/o get free shipping and buy 10 - 1lb. f/o you get free shipping & $1.00 off each 1lb. bottle. This is the way I understood it and also called TCS to verify. You have to enter the code in the comments box in your shopping cart and they will adjust your order. Also, they gave a free recipe & instruction on CP soap this month.

  4. I've been testing 20 of TCS f/o all week. I went to take advantage of the free shipping and $1 off 1 lb. bottles. Blueberry Cobbler was second on my list to get and it's sold out! :cry2:

If you got the last bottle, return it and nobody gets hurt, J/K. :P

What does ButterScotch Brownie smell like? Can you really smell the brownie?

    TIA

  5. SoyCandle.com, I poured it up this afternoon and the cold throw is already incredible. It also reminds me of Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream, which is my favorite. Hey, I could use it now & rename it ice cream. :D

I'ld like to use it in a body butter and bath bombs for Christmas as gifts.

  6. I read on a suppliers website that they recommended CB135 to have the best cold and hot throw of all their soy waxes. So i tried it & was highly disappointed. :embarasse I was ready to give up on soy altogether because i tried many others with disappointment. Don't give up, try a small sample of GB 464. It throws way better than CB135 and is easier to wick than the 415 due to its lower meltpoint, imo.

  7. Okay - if DH asks - you made me do it :laugh2:

I just ordered a pound of the Warm Orange Gingerbread (scent unsmelled, so it better be good, lol). I also got samples of Cranberry Chutney, Spiced Orange Cider and Peach, Magnolia Raspberry. I mean, I had to go ahead and buy a pound to make the shipping worth it, right?:D

Sorry I'm just now seeing this post, been away from the computer all day.

Angela if you love food & fall, you'll love WOG. I like the Spiced Orange Cider but I'm having to retest in the 464. I wish I could have told you about the Blueberry Cobbler (yummy) and throws  . I have PMR, Love Spell and some others I still need to test. Let me know what you think. :D

  8. If you don't have this for a fall scent, kick yourself in the @$$. This is sooo yummy. I don't do B&B but I want to start just so I can put this in a body spray or lotion. It kicks butt in GB 464. I tried it 1st in 415 and got a wonderful cold throw but I couldn't get it wicked right so I put it the 464 and it's fantastic. I let my MIL burn it @ work and the men started putting in orders.

  9. What percentage of the 464/474 did you use for yout testing. I'm thinking of trying to make tarts myself and i already have the 464 and some sample 474 at home and would love to give it a try...Thanks!

    Lili

I'm still testing different ratios with the tarts to see which way gives the best results. But I've narrowed it down to 2. I like adding 15% of 464 to 474 because this is the same ratio I use for the votives. I get the benefit of mixing all at once. But I'm also testing adding 25% 474 to the 464 to get a faster melt. HTH

  10. I love the 464. I get great adhesion, smooth tops and I love it's creamy appearance. I find it easier to wick (but I use cd's & papercore wicks) and easier to pour @ higher temps. The throw has been incrediable for me & I get awesome responses from others.

I've tried the 415, it's okay but I found it harder to wick with certain f/o's.

I've been testing the 474 votive wax and I'm loving it, too. But these are just my opinions.
