1. I LOVE this stuff! My DD has a gallon of it that she hasn't scented yet and every time I go to her house, I sneak some home with me! It's very moisturizing and thick. A little goes a long way and that's good because it'll be months before she discovers my thievery! ;)

  2. I'm the proverbial "aging hippie" and I love, love, love patchouli! However....My daughter, who's 21, HATES it! It literally makes her gag! I've tried the sniff test on her with several different suppliers versions of patch--every last one of them got the same response... ! I am no longer even allowed to bring a bottle of it into her house! So, with that being said, I have to agree with the others...generational preferences make a big difference! Also, Sara is right...there is NO substitute for the real thing, although I'm pretty darn pleased with the Peak FO version.

  3. OK, I’m quite the noob, too (but I've been an avid lurker and reader for 6 months now! and I slept at a Holiday Inn last night!;) ), but, someone please correct me if I’m wrong…Isn’t microcrystalline wax added to raise the MP of your wax? And the release of fragrance comes from the melt pool, right? So, if you raise the MP of your tart wax, it's possible your tart melter might not reach a high enough temp to fully melt your tart, depending on the type you use, and, therefore, your hot throw would be diminished. Is my reasoning correct? Hopefully, someone with more experience and knowledge will jump in here.

  4. Vicks VapoRub! Maybe I'm weird, but this brings back fond memories for me. When you're a kid, you get fussed over when you're sick and don't have to worry about anything more than what cartoon to watch next. When you grow up, getting sick sucks because you know all that laundry is going to pile up and the house is going to be a mess because no one else seems to pick up the ball when mom's sick!

  5. I did use the Ball Elite mason jar with the plate warmer while testing 464 soy and did not have any problems. It melted in a reasonable amount of time and looked quite cute! I love those jars! .....

I'm so glad to hear that, Jane! If the truth be know, I've accumulated quite a sizeable personal stash of these. Every time I go to WallyWorld for cat food (which is quite often), I pick up a 4-pack of these. I guess it's high time I think about pouring something now! LOL!

  6. Someone else on another thread here suggested using the Ball Elite Mason jars (you can get these at Wally World). They’re a wide mouth 8 oz jar, the mouth is 3” in diameter, the base is about 3 ¼”, the body of the jar is approx. 3 ½’ across and 1” tall (entire jar minus lid is 1 ¾” tall) and is squared with rounded corners. Do you think using a low MP container blend or straight soy in a jar such as this would alleviate the problem?

  7. Also included in the auction with the "new trends" that TerriWV mentioned is:

1 HUGE BOTTLE OF 2 POUNDS OF FRAGRANCE OIL!!

(This is a 1 pound bottle of BANANA-NUT-BREAD fragrance oil!! This oil is 100% all natural and is gel, soy, and parafin wax safe. It is a super strong oil and is very popular. You will get it ina 1 pound bottle that ahs anice squirt lid on top of it for easy pouring)

OK, I know I'm a noob and all, but even I have enough sense to question this one! So, he's selling 2 lbs of FO that fit into a 1 lb bottle? That's some might heavy all natural BNB!

:shocked2: But, at least that squirt top will make for easier pouring! :rolleyes2
