  1. hi have been making bunny's bath melts (thanks for sharing!!) and my tops have not came out smooth the last couple batches. not warts but more small chunk looking. i think it was too humid or not in freezer long enough. can i use a heat gun to smooth it? thanks for the advice and help, jo

  2. Hi awesome recipe! I've made them numerous times and this last time each batch became crumbly when I added the citric acid. I added the fo anyway and smashed into clamshell and cup papers. what did I do wrong? any ideas? Thanks in advance jo

  3. hi i'm adding the glycerin i forgot at the beginning of recipe seems to be working!? it is whipping fairly well but it has several small chunks (K alot) of base in with the white meringue type soap this a sign to add some liquid? or do i heat it or any suggestions (like i should just live with it) ? thanks for all the help jo

  4. hi great class again! a couple questions ( You will need 5.2 oz of glycerin, which will go into the oils and butters at the very beginning to be melted together. ) i didn't read or see this step so i'm wondering if it can be saved or trash and start again? it was stick blending lotion that didn't get thick than all of a sudden chunks i used your suggestions but tweaked and ran through soapcalc super creamed and was going to whip it today (i made it fri.) when i realized i probably missed a huge step by not seeing that step. And Is the 5.2 glycerin to be put into the soapcal also? thanks for all the help jo

  5. thanks for the replies i will be trying a different fo tomorrow tried the microwave thing (note to self high powered it blew all over the mic. LOL) but what was left was still creamy cloudy (at least i know its not just mine) i so wanted it clear like on z's website and all the others who make ls well back to the drawing board thanks again jo

  6. hi i did the class and all is good and clear tested clear and stayed clear until i added fo . when i added the fo at 2% it thickened up (yah) and got cloudy (not so yah) added more ls so it is at 1% fo and its still cloudy any suggestions what i did wrong? i was so loving the clear amber shade tia jo

  7. i know i was short alot of water can't remember how much though i used the pot on the burner i didn't have a double boiler and wasn't going to wait lol (nearest walmart is 40 miles we farm) never heard of the tests before this which test is the recommended one? apc, fungal/yeast or both? is this testing also recommended for the body butters and etc.? (now i'm scared) thanks jo

  8. hi i just completed this class thanks awesome (started several hours late but got it done) a couple questions does phenonip have an oder or is it just me? mine turned out thick like a cream (didn't heat extra h2o and thought i wouldn't need it covered pot(thought wrong) can it be added now? and rewhipped just asking (really like the creaminess to it just going to package different) if i was to create a recipe i like and make that should it still be tested for retail purposes? even though the preservitive is what is recommended? (just thinking ahead will be using base for a long time while testing) thank you again for doing this class i've done whipped butters before but not from scratch lotion jo

  9. i know how to cp it was 2 months after i agreed to do it that the school said no lye. i've been researching and trying the rebatching i don't like the results either (i was thinking it was just me!) wanting to give rebatching its fair chance

plan B is mp (haven't done that in a long time)

    thanks for the help jo

  10. i'm to do a lesson on soap making for a business class for our highschool i tried to rebatch my cp recipe and yuck! in researching i've been told that lard soap is the easiest to rebatch but would like some veg oils in it also if possible i have a batch of lard cp going but was wondering if ...

    lard 50%

    canola 20%

    co 15%

    palm oil 15%

would be a nice blend for the hand-milled soap instead? i'm running out of time with all the curing and testing i've been doing & was curious if anyone

could help me out in this area thank you jo
