  1. The MP is 65C (a bit high? My usual wax is 57 to 59C) This wax is a batch I got from Hobbycraft in the UK. I don't like it at all (well overpriced too). I found that straight it had frosted looking flaws showing and have added 25% container wax to it to give a clean effect.

    In mitigation I was using up some birthday vouchers. I won't be back there though.:rolleyes:

    Hi Ian

    I live in the UK, I use the 57-59C Wax too, I have some wicks that are great for this wax, not tried it in the 65C wax but you are more than welcome to give them a try, pm me your address and i'll send you a couple out (free) :highfive: hth

  2. Hi Nat

    I'm sure you will have lots of us looking for jars, I have hunted high and low here in the UK.

    Do you know what the price would work out to be per case etc? - I don't mind which jars, choose one you like and maybe go with that or if they do

    A co-op for wicks would be good too :yay:

    mixed that's even better - We need lots of UK co-ops!:D:yay:

    Me getting excited now :highfive:

    Well off to daughters easter bonnet parade - will check back later.

  3. Hi nattycat - I would definately be interested if you purchase Jars :grin2: maybe you could see about a co-op to see if there is any interest?

    We need more suppliers here in the UK:yay:

    I think I may have to look for a mail forwarder too - I e-mailed Candle Science the other day to buy some TL Wicks and they wrote back to say they are not shipping to the UK at this time! :undecided

    Nice to see lots more brits on the board too :D hello to you all:yay: :highfive:

  4. Yes I agree, It's not fair the lack of supplies we have here in the UK:cry2:

    I've searched high and low for suppliers for containers in the UK, it's worth giving them a try if they are cheaper, they have to be better than the plain old jam jars! :cool2: and if the pot ones are the same as in the US they problably are not suited for candle use.

  5. For a while i've been searching for jars that are from my suppliers here in the uk,as it costs far too much to pay shipping costs from America. I've been looking for the 'yankee' style jars. it's taken me a while but i've finally found one of my suppliers who will supply me nxt mth. I'm not 100% sure on the prices though so i was hoping if i tell u howe much they r u could give me your opinion!

    4oz = £2.10

    7oz = £2.24

    12oz = £2.48

    there is a wholesale price if ordering 250 units+ which can be mixed and the delivery would be £79.00 any less and the delivery charge would be costed @ weight value.

    Rubber seals start @ 20p each.

    My main worry is that my customers will find it too expensive once i've added all other costs. I also have to consider my wholesale customers.

    Any advice would be appreciated!!:o

    Sorry meant to send this for chauntelle (and anyone else in the uk :cool2: ) not to exclude anyone outside of the UK but you get better deals and I don't think it would be of interest. I am thinking of buying in bulk, the delivery charges are high, but they are glass and probably heavy.

    may even take a drive!! :)

  6. Yeah, i like sensory perfection. She's the only person i've found who sells aniseed and liquorice FO, two scents which i adore!

    I've been comparing loads of prices but at the mo i don't make enough candles to get through 200ml, let alone 50! I've emailed candlescience for a quote for some FO, so fingers crossed the postage isn't too much!

    Sensory perfections does have a great range though, too many to chose from!

    I loved Candle Science, But as they only ship UPS you will get a £13 handling fee from UPS and Customs charges on top, that's if the order is over £18.00. Their oils are fantastic as is their customer service. I really liked their Lemon Chiffon, they ship them in glass bottles, which does add to the weight

    I really do miss candle science :( but I could not order anything from them that would was £18 or under as you get charged on the shipping fees.

    I really wish Peaks would ship to the UK

  7. Hi Ruby

    I too am from the UK (Wales) I found a few great suppliers -

    Indianna Candle Supplies

    Aztec International

    The Candle Source

    Jodys Soap & things

    I used Candle Science for a while, but they only ship UPS and the charges were killing me!!

    They are all very helpful and have great fragrance oils, I too have tons of fragrance oils, I also buy my wax from Aztec (must be mad paying shipping costs on wax!!) but I really like the IGI 4625 for my pillars.

    NattyCat that would be great if you could get the Fragrance Oil Website for the Uk, Can you send me a list of the fragrance oils you have. :smiley2:
