  1. As a follow up, I had read enough to feel comfortable with Eco-Soya and Cargill waxes. I also noticed Natures Garden seemed to be the preferred supplier on fragrances. I didn't really see anything on cheap glassware. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. I have a company up the street that priced 16 oz apothecary jars at $.82. I also can't see more than $.15 scents going into wicking. Is that about right?
  2. I appreciate the suggestions, but I am not a candlemaker. I will however, take your advice and try pouring some candles. That is where the rubber hits the road and it will probably be fun. I am more interested in setting up a marketing company that sells candles. I needed to know the right suppliers and vendors to price the manufacturing appropriately. There seems to be a disparity in costs... I have noticed it mostly on the fo side. (fo - I picked up that much) Right now, I can price the manufacturing under $3 per 16oz container candle looking at suppliers on the web. Most of the pricing I have been thrown for resale exceeds $7 per piece. If $3 is the production costs I wont pay that kind of markup to distribute candles for a company. I will continue looking at other possible companies to work with. I do have a friend who runs Empire candle company, but they don't handle any soy. I understand that candle-making is your business and not mine. I don't expect to become an expert or get all of the trade secrets on my first post to a new forum. I was just hoping to get the primay distributors and contacts for a quality product so I could personally call and price all of the pieces at bulk rates. I thank you for the responses and hope all of your companies do well.
  3. I can see I stepped on a snake. I assure you that your protective responses are not meritted. I wouldn't have considered providing recommendations and referrals to your favorite company the primary trade secret of any industry. I also would not have expected these kind of responses. Best of luck to each of you on whatever your ventures may be. www.creditprofessional.org
  4. In advance, I appreciate the professional feed-back. I've seen that there is an endless wealth of knowledge in the forum. Unfortunately, it takes alot of time to sift through the board. I was hoping to get some condensed opinions and referrals. I would like to hear some a-z suggestions from the industry pros on this board. I'm looking for a complete veg/soy container product that utilizes cotton wicks. The rest of the blanks need to filled in. Best wax that fits the description? Best fragrance that compliments the aformentioned wax? Best wicking solution to the previous 2? (feel free to move thread if posted in wrong area) www.creditprofessional.org
