  1. I second the comment on the header and logo type sizes, would definitely scale them down. The color scheme is great and I like the background pattern.

One thing that stand out to me also is the fact that there is no about us page. This is a highly recommended part of your website in building trust and loyalty with your customers.

Remember too that there is no rush to implement something as important as your web presence. The old saying is true; you only get one chance to make a good first impression, especially online!

  2. Those are really good, make sure you watch burning those around flammable items like leaves and such in those containers. You may realize that, but if you intend sell them you would be amazed how absent minded some people can be.

    Good Luck ~

  3. Hi, hope you don't mid I took a peek at your code and for starters there is a problem with your doc type header and header tags. Styles should be after the header tags, if not the robots will not crawl your site and your pages will not get indexed for search results.

The doc type should be at the top this specifies the type of document for your page, without this the robots or googlebots will flee in terror...just kidding, but they will ignore your page all together like it never existed.

    Go to http://validator.w3.org/

you can paste your code there and read the errors that need to be fixed.

    Good luck ~

  4. I was reading on Yahoo this morning the 2007 awards for worst products of the year. #1 Went to a company selling sleeping pills for children. Among others on the list were Matell of course, for the many recalls (they deserve it!), and Kelloggs. This has made me realize how important it is to have some sort of quality control or quality assurance plan. Now more than ever i think consumers are becoming wary of poorly made products, and this will only get worse as companies fail to improve their quality standards, and rush to get new products to market. This is one area where we do have a significant advantage, and have a chance to make ourselves shine over large corporations. We make products by hand, or in small batches and can offer a quality product that they could never match with their mass production methods. Personally I feel a responsibility to my customers to have strict quality standards especially when selling and promoting products that bring a potential fire hazard into the home. This is definately something i will sit down and put into writing, and even post this on my website for my customers to see, i think most would appreciate that. No matter how small or large i am, or become, i would never want to win an award for worst product of the year!I have a sample plan and outline available, if anyone is interested pm me and I'll email it to you. Thanks for reading!

  5. Ebay policy states that they will never contact you by email only through your "my account" page. Very few legitimate businesses would.

Don't ever mess with anything in your email unless you are expecting it! They are all scam, every last one of them, including those free gift card offers. Some are just trying to pad their email list, and some are much more elaborate and dangerous

I even change my email from time to time just to stay away from them...

What's worse is that it is nearly impossible to prosecute someone out of the country, they won't extradite for these type of crimes, maybe that's why there so widespread, they virtually go unpunished...It's a shame.

  6. There are some services now that offer the ability to just add a buy it now button to your pages in the form of cut and paste codes, real simple to use. The one I am considering myself is http://www.1shoppingcart.com/ I have heard alot of good things about them and they offer alot of options for customizing your check out pages to the look and feel of your site. They also offer a 30 day trial for $3.99. There are some other good ones also, so that may be something to check into. Good luck!

  7. I have always loved this with one exception. It would be nice for legitimate buyers to be able to save the pictures of the things they like or are interested in purchasing. I do that from time to time and I'm sure others do as well. Just to bad you can't seperate the good from the bad.

I'm fairly sure that's why you see many of the big sites or bigger manufacturers not using this type of script.

  8. Hoping you can tell me what's hot in B&B these days! I have been making candles for years and finaly feel comfortable enough to expand my horizons a bit. What ingeredients should I look to add here as far as what's in or out, what's the latest trends in B&B?
