  1. I have a wholesale account that I've never had problems with until this last order. Her check bounced and she promised to send a money order at the end of the week. I contacted her the middle of the next week and she said she was so sorry that she had forgotten. Then she said she'd pay me via paypal. I thought cool, I'll have the money for sure. Then she sent an echeck. It should have cleared today. Then she cancelled the echeck! I'm waiting for a response from her, but just wondered if there's anything I can do.TIA,LisaW

  2. I've got a potentially big account that wants beeswax pillars. I got a sample of the ones they've been getting and honestly I don't get it. They filter and bleach the wax and then add dye and they have NO scent at all. I still can't believe the one they gave me is beeswax. Looks like paraffin to me. Besides, if you don't want that beautiful smell why would you even go to the expense of using beeswax. Makes no sense. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow so you can see what it looks like.

  3. Does anyone have a cc machine that normally plugs into the wall that they take to shows and plug into a UPS for a battery back up? I'm just wondering what UPS I would need. Most show they don't run very long. I'm hoping the run time they show is based on a huge computer running non-stop and what I'm doing won't take that much energy.

    Thanks,

    LisaW

  4. I'm using them for a fundraiser. I've been on the fence about going ahead and using them, but I think I'm going to wait till I get the right ones. Even if they're good for 3 weeks, people will think the candles are no good if they check out the samples later and they have no scent. Thanks for the response though, you're the only one who answered.

  5. I ordered some of the 2 x 4 crystal clear labels for inkjet printers from onlinelabels to cut down and use on small items like lava lip gloss. The label is to thick and won't stay on the bottles. I really want to use the crystal clear ones and not have to go with the frosted cause I think it gives a better look to the product. Just wondered if anyone has found a label like this that works.

    Thanks,

    LisaW

  6. Tested both at 6% in soy votive wax and both are great after curing 1 week.

Personally I'm not crazy about the Cookies for Santa, but if you like this scent this is a great one. Then one I tried from BCN smelled like dirty gym socks. This one smells nothing like that.

I REALLY like the Christmas Sage. The Christmas tree is more like a tree lot scent, this one is a little more subtle with the sage. I'm going to try both of them out at my shows this weekend and I'll see how they compare.

Both of these threw great after curing a week. I tested at 1 day and 3 days and got almost nothing so you definately have to cure for a week. I've got a few other that I'm going to let cure a few more days (which will make it 2 weeks) and see how they do. They're Cider by the Fire, Eggnog Latte, and Holiday Kitchen. They're all really nice oob, just haven't gotten them to throw hot. (almost forgot, these are TXCS).

  7. Found four more testers I missed earlier:

icon_biggrin.gif Dusty Mexican Morning - This one is strong. To me it smells like a floral rose. I'd probably call it Dusty Rose. My other "nose" says she can smell citrus in it. Not my favorite, but everyone else who has smelled it loves it so looks like I'll be carrying it.

icon_smile.gif Sugar Cookie - This one is good, but I'm sticking with Sissie's. Still haven't found one that's close to theirs.

icon_biggrin.gif Birthday Cake - Very strong! I really like this, but smells more like Wedding Cake to me. A lot sweeter than birthday cake.

icon_biggrin.gif Frankensence & Myrrh - This is one of the best F & M's I've smelled. Most of them have a bit of a bitter undertone, but I really like this one. Not overpowering, a bit of powder. This is a softer scent, but very nice.

  8. Just found that tester along with a few others. Burning them as I type and will post the reviews in a few min. I'm picking up more today that have the "Texas" theme and I'll post the reviews in a week (fingers crossed).

I don't like the Dusty Mexican Morning, but everyone I've had smell it loves it. Hate having to make scents I don't like. Why are they always the ones that smell up your house for days!

  9. All tested in 100% soy wax at 7-1/2% cured 1 week.

 Wisteria - Have to start with this one. Wish Spring wasn't so far away. I LOVE this one! Very strong. Beautiful floral scent. I'll be adding this next spring.

:) Caramel Pecan Pie - Nice and caramelly (is that a word?). Not as strong of a bakery scent as I expected. I could probably go up or down on the % and get a better throw. Smells just like ASS's to me, and you know how great their is.

:sad2: Clean Cotton - I just have NO luck with this scent. I'm getting a very faint throw. Not going to mess with it though cause they have tons more "clean" scents that aren't done to death like clean cotton. I'll be doing some reviews on others next week (like linen & lace which I'm really excited about).

:undecidedCreme Brulee - This is strong, but I'm picking up notes of chocolate in it. May just be my nose. Definatly worth a try if you're looking for that type of scent.

Just a note, it's VERY hard for me to find scents that throw in my soy so I'm sure others will get better results than me.

I'll be testing a bunch more and posting the results next week since my hubby will be out of the way with dove season opening and all.
