  1. Hey Peggy, didn't know you were making pillars now, very very pretty!!

Haven't seen you "around" for a while, how are things? Looks like you've perfected the rustic pillars, you can send them over this way ya know I don't live that far from you so shipping wouldn't be too much.

    Definitely looks like the Ocean!!

Again, thank you everyone for your comments.

I am on the board as much as I can be. Working full time doesn't give me a lot of time to spend on here and I do sneek on at work. I don't post a lot, only when I think I have something to say. I definately read a lot of the posts and am so inspired by all that I read and see. This board has helped me so much and I hope that I can give back to it someday as much as I have gotten. :D:grin2:

  2. I hope they aren't out of biz. I'm going to Seattle the end of sept and I've already mapped out how to get to them :cheesy2:

We're gonna have 2 extra bags and I'm filling them with wax and candle supplies even if I have to leave the clothes behind :D

$23.00 to ship 10# of wax to Hawaii is insane and only Peak will offer flat rate shippng.

Hawaiian Sun, I sure wish that I could bring you supplies when we go to Maui next year, don't know if the SO will let me leave his clothes behind. Better yet, I could leave his golf clubs at home. Hum, now there is an idea:o

  3. OK, these are the last for today. The squares are Asian Sandalwood and the octognal is Black Cherry, just experimenting with the mold.

I gave a tilted layered to a friend for this birthday on Friday and my wonderful SO told him that my candles are a work of art. That really made me feel good.

Here it is and I am off to play golf in 103 temp. I know, crazy, but next to candles and my granddaughter, golf is a passion.

  4. Donita,

Your 'canes are so beautiful, you are a very talented lady.

I read your post regarding the paper, but want to get it straight. You are adhearing your dried arrangement to the paper and then embedding in the candle? Is that correct? When you have this perfected, which I think you already do, maybe you could post how you are doing it.

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work.;)

  5. Boy would I like to be a fly on the wall and watch how you do these. I want to do them too......please tell me what you do...or is it just a God given talent...

I too would like to be a fly on the wall. I would love it if you would be so kind as to do a post on how you do your layers. I have read in previous ones that you use a spoon, but not exactly sure of the technique. Maybe it is just God given talent, your layers are beautiful.:)

  6. We are supposed to be in for a cooling trend, hovering near 100.

I pour in my garage and it gets really hot out there. Our air conditioner is right outside the garage back door and it is running all the time. If I open that door up, it gets even hotter. After I pour and let it set up for awhile and then bring in the house.

I do like the summer though, can't stand being cold. I don't know how you snow people do it.

  7. I have been a member of this board for awhile and have never posted any pictures. I always love looking at everyone else's and they have inspired me beyond words.

Today I thought I would try adding a couple of pictures.

This one is Peppermint Kiss. My SO loves the smell and says he would rather eat it than burn it in a candle. He is just too cute.
