The only ppl that purchase patchouli items from me seem to be the older generation (40-50's). I have never had anyone in there 30's like this scent. They all seem to hate it! Im an in this group and personally love it but like someone had mentioned, you either hate it or love it.

I use J223 also and do not heat my jars and never get frost or jump lines...

Guess its all just a personal preference.

Where are you storing your containers that they get so cold to explode when you pour hot wax into them?

Mine are stored in the garage and pour into them cold also, I dont heat them.

I battled this with my silicone molds for months and tried everything and just before giving up with them, the owner of Pourette recommended I try luster crystals and they now come out of the molds looking beautiful!

I just realized, after pouring the second layer of 8 Rustics that I added Luster Crystals instead of UV inhibitor to them.

Both of the bags they're in look the same and the product looks the same!

What do you suppose they'll come out looking like, before I continue with finishing them?

As in my current case....you make sure the damn dye block is truly black as it says on the bag its in!!!

I purchased quite a few dye blocks from someone on the board some time ago and have been making trying to make black and grey rustics for a friend for 2 days now only to come up with either navy or purple as the end result!

Its very frustrating when you purchase dye blocks that obviously have come out of thier bags and you just find a bag and throw them in it!

I guess on a lighter note, I will keep them for my house since the colors in my bedroom are purple and in the living rm, navy!

Ok, so I've got the Rustic part down but I really want to try my hand at the tilted layers while doing Rustics...

If you have to splash (so to speak) the wax up on the sides, how do you get the even tilted layers?

I have tried layers while doing Rustics, but the layers dont seem to adhere to each other very well.

The only votives I do are the square ones and ppl seem to love them bcuz they say they dont seem them very often. I think they look great done in Feather Wax.

Has anyone been into a Hallmark lately and noticed the prices of some

of the Candles they're selling?

I wandered in one today with a friend and of course, I have to look at the Candles anytime Im in a store...$30 for a 20oz and $24 for a 14oz in a deco looking jar. And ppl actually pay those kind of prices??????
