My wife and I are about to start a candle making business. I bought a modified crock pot type thing with a spout that doesn't clog (heard that's important) and some wax and scents. We had a go at some small container candles and although they look pretty, there is no scent. Well, they smell of wax but that's not the fragrance we were expecting. I don't know what types of wax or scents I need to produce good quality, slow burning, fragrant candles. I look to all of you for some help. Can you provide me with wax types, scents, steps involved to maximize scent (for example I heard you should wait for the wax to start cooling before adding your scent), etc. to produce a good candle? I thank you so much in advance. We have small crocks, various other containers (6 oz. to 10 oz.), tealights, and much more. I don't know what type of wax we bought but it definitely doesn't throw the scent at all. If we add too much scent, the candle becomes oily and burns very quickly. I look forward to any and all help!
