  1. Hi everybody, I haven't posted to much, but a friend of mine's dd is having her first baby and they have asked me to make things for the shower. I thought a dipped bear (any ideas on where to get the cute outfits?) I have a babyblock mold, pacifier sp? big diaper pens, 3-4oz glass baby bottles to hopefully turn into candles. I was thinking of making wax melts from the pacif (Benkys) and possibly the diaper pens and blocks. I also have made the balloon wax orbs baby blue scented baby powder. Also a basket as a door prize. Any and all ideas welcom. Thanks lild:yay:She is having a boy!!!

I will try and find the sales slip from where I got them so if you like that look- just another option, I liked them because you could see whats in them. But probably not quite as well protected. ldeb:grin2:

  3. Hi Michi Its very easy..to easy now everything I see is a possible mold!LOL

all you do is buy Mold Builder ( I got mine from michaels- but went to Mangleson's yesterday they had a bigger container almost 2x's the size for about 2$ more. I usually pay I think its 12.90 for 16 fl. oz) course I never see something cheaper till after I buy the expensive one. Anyways you just paint it on I usually do about 12-15 coats. It drys pretty fast in between. I put my object on wax paper paint it and then sorta paint out from the bottom of it in the shape of a circle so when you pull it off the wax paper you have a base that is bigger than the object- cut a hole in the bottom of a cardboard box..stuff the mold part in the hole and the excess circle part extends out of the hole and sorta anchors it. Hope that makes sense. I should take pics when I do it step by step to show you..but me and the picture part are not best friends yet LOL. anyways hope that helps. Its fun (except the smell) and its liquid latex so I guess? that could be a problem for some people. But you can buy a clear spray paint like poly eurthane (sorry about the spelling) spray whatever is going to be your mold and then paint on the mold builder. :wink2: Debbie

  5. Hi Lorrie, Its not a pig its a cow..I tried to edit the title. Anyways I used a toy thats the cow I bought a Michaels..in the 1$ bin. They are round I bought pig,cow and a chicken I haven't made yet. They call them squirters? They are round and rubber with a hole in the bottom which is round kind of a pain when trying to make a mold. And they have a small hole in the lip area so kids can use in tub. Debbie

  6. Yup I made the mold with the stuff from Michaels "mold Builder" its liquid latex. Put on about 8-10 coats and your good to go. Don't know how long they will last and the latex allergy thing might be a problem but its only for family. Who don't have latex problems. Oh the pic won't get bigger cause I don't know how. They were to big so went to resize them so I could show them. But new to posting pics so I'm learning as I go. Debbie

  7. Hi thanks for the link Rob:D And I made the mold from "mold Builder" that you buy at one of my favorite stores Michaels... Its liquid latex. Don't know about latex allergy's? But not selling to the public just family. no one has latex allergy. Anyways you just paint it on...over and over again I usually do about 8-10 coats than you just pull it off. I think its great stuff (boy does it stink) My dogs go to another room. Debbie

  8. Hi I am trying to attach pictures. Here goes this is one that I asked the question about how or what you use to paint on the soap. I put the pic of what I made a mold of next to it so you can see why I would like to paint the eyes and stuff. Thanks ldeb

  9. Hi everybody, I have seen some of the soap you guys make its all great. I have a question...I would like to know what you all you to paint on soap? Hope that makes sense. I bought some small cute little animals pig, cow, bunny, from the dollar tree and made molds of them. I used mp and they turned out great I think. I would post pics but that I haven't done yet but I will. Anyways I would like to paint eyes, maybe the inside of there little ears, noses, the cow has spots that sort of thing. I can't pour that part first its not a flat mold. So just wondering if there is a paint that you can actually paint on them? And if so what is it? Any tips or suggestions are always welcome. Thanks ldeb Debbie I will post pics soon I hope:D
