I have teenage boys who bathe in that axe stuff, and it lingers in the air forever, I absolutely hate it now. I used to tthink it was a nice scent, but those kids over do it :spit: .

I don't find them to be that expensive when comparing to other companies.

Definately call your supplier. I have never had anything like that happen before and have been using c-3 for 2 years now.

Any pink looks as bad as dark or blue colors.

Lilac, & any fresh scents sell well for me all year

I am very happy with Peaks Spruce, I also like the Mountain Pine.

I haven't tried the other you mentioned so I can't give you a comparison.

i don't think you would be dissapointed with the spruce.

I get those bubbles too. I always thought it was from air trapped in the wax.

But, that was me just guessing .

I have tried using a single wick. After testing forever it seems, I could only get full melt pools with the lighter oils and never with heavy oils. Personally I would love to only do single wicks. I have asked my customers which way they would prefer, and most want the full melt pool with no residual wax on the sides of the container. So, at this point I am double wicking.

I am using apothecary jars. For my tumblers and smaller jars I single wick.

My shop is way to small, I have no room for production.

I was in a candle store at the Poconos, they had a large glass wall, and behind it was their production area. It was neat watching them.

I am also getting my fall scents ready to be put out. I usually put them out by the 3rd week in August.

In reality, Love Spell is lavender. Nice, though.

maybe thats why it's not my favorite scent, not a lavender fan.

So if I read it correctly there is no lye in this recipe. I have been toying over the idea of making my own soaps. I have been on the fence because of the lye. I can't find it anywhere.

I once had labels made by Labels For Less, they were strictly for the lids of my jar. I was only somewhat impressed, but from what I have heard they have improved alot. take a look around the site. Ok back to topic... I have never done it, but my first thought when reading your post was a cookie cutter.

Last 4th quarter was a nightmare, I couldn't keep up with all the candles I was selling. Working my regular job all day then coming home and working another 5-8 hours on candles. I SWORE, I swear I SWORE, that I would have alot of back up made of the best sellers. Now if I could only get my azz in gear.

When I first started getting in sample FO's I would put them on my dining room table and do the old cold sniff test. Talk about being an idiot...

I have little circles all over my table now from the small amount of FO that dripped down the side of the bottle. I needed my stupid sign, and would of displayed it happily.

Now I use the plastic medicine cups you can get at any pharmacy. They are perfect for accurate measurements. I wash them out after using. Eventually they get tossed. I would never store any FO in them for more than a minute or so. I measure then pour immediately.

Although now you have me thinking the shot glasses would be alot less expensive.

I get my sent labels from www.onlinelabels also. My regular labels I have for my company name I have made in bulk through a printing company.

Definately try heating the jars before you pour. I noticed a lot less wet spots once I started doing this. Also it helps if the room you let them cool in is warm. Candles don't like the cold or cooler air.

Anyway, great job on your first shot, looking back, mine weren't nearly that good. Keep up the good work.
