  1. Somedays it seems like the whole house. LOL

I have a room in the basement for all my wax stuff and FO's. I am lucky to have a frontroom that is not used so I have all my most of my finished products there. Also in the front room I have my soap supplies in a cabinet thingy. At work they get pre moistened cloth wipes in large oval pails. I scarf them up when they are empty for my soaping butters and other supplies. The rest are stored in and under the L shaped booth/bench in my kitchen.

Candles in all stages of testing are in most all rooms. LOL

I have soaps curing in two rooms usually also.

  2. I am sure that the bride is going to be estatic with the heart pillars and this one also.

That is a gorgeous pillar. I have never made an uncolored palm pillar. I do have a wedding pillar gift to make for someone also, I will have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

  3. How long have you been making candles?

Two weeks and I have to replace a professional vendor by March 1st!!!

That is from a post you answered less than three weeks ago. So you have a whole 5 weeks of candle making under your belt. You have been selling in your daughters store for what... 5 days and you have all this great input from all of your customers......I sure hope that your daughter had the good sense to get the insurance to cover her butt that you never bothered to get.

    GOOD LUCK !!

  4. Great save and I think you soap swirls look terrific.

I once read on here in order not to forget to add the FO they put the weighed FO into the mold they were going to use and then they could never forget it. I have such a rotten memory that I have used this suggestion every time I soap since then. It works great....wish I could credit the original poster, but, my rotten memory will not let me remember just who it was.:lipsrseal

  5. I have to agree with the others on this one. Different suppliers for the different oils. Each of them are great on the ones I keep in supply.

Now if I would stop wanting to try everything new that I get from swaps, Geesh.

  6. I'm surprised. Steve's has long had a very good reputation and their service has always been top notch.

I will continue to order the few things I get from them, although w/o this added "protection". Seems to be like he's been sold a load of crap and just hasn't realized what he's gotten and how utterly ridiculous it sounds.

I agree with you Beth. I have always gotten all of the things "promised on the extra insurance" from this company in the past when I had ordered thru them. I am sure he didn't think about how it could be perceived by a customer as a very questionable and negative strategy. He obviously thought it would be a "good thing" and that is why he added it. It just took me by surprise when I read it last week.

This extra insurance might boost sales at companys that have a reputation with not being able to produce these things promised on their own. It might help to bring back previous customers that have been unimpressed with the company and CS for another chance knowing that they were guaranteed of getting what they should no matter what.

  7. I was looking to check out some new containers and I was pricing them against another supplier. So when I added the shipping to both suppliers totals and I saw that whole bit about adding insurance to fix any errors or problems that might arise from the order and shipment I quickly decided to go with the other supplier.
