dang- you live by there too?? I'm jealous...lol They're awesome.
jakalex lives real close too. she often picks up little things for me and sends them, when I don't have to place a big order.

Hi Tootie,
I still use this wax. Mostly for my uncolored/natural candles. Sometimes for very lightly colored ones. And I like to pour slushy.

I've had these tart molds for about 3 yrs. I did wash them all awhile ago. Now, I still cannot get the wax to release cleanly from the molds. I'm using the same wax I always have (Eco PB)
What suggestions do you all have? (besides putting them in the freezer)

Mine only sweat if I have them in heat...like an outdoor market in the summertime!?
I try to stay away from those situations. :tiptoe: But luckily they usually harden up again with no damage done.
same here....I have also burned a "sweating" candle, and there was no problems at all.

I have been using these wicks for years. I do find that they shroom, but they are still the best for me (I use CBA, and 464)

CandleScience has the best cinnamon. The ChristmasCookies from SoyCandle.com still continues to get awesome revues from my customers. You'd swear you were baking them fresh.

Hi Regina,
I have been using this wax for years. I have found that depending on "the weather" you have to adjust your pour temps. I pour around 115 or so, sometimes cooler. And also make sure to stir every few minutes prior to pouring.

How much wax did you melt? Did you melt just enough for one roll?
how much, is enough for one roll??
-
ok, now you have to tell how you do them
-
does anyone use soy??
I would luv to try one. How do you do it?
-
whoa- can't wait to see it when it's finished
-
yes, can anyone post how they do these?

In my experience w/this wax, it sounds like your fo may not be fully blended w/the wax. I heat to 175, add fragrance, and cool slowly (mixing every few minutes). I personally like to pour slushy.

OK- now I'm curious about this. I was thinking of adding a little something, for my show in Nov (have alot of elderly folks around here) The bears seem to be too big of a PITA to do.
Are these really that easy? Any particular type of TP? What wax do you use?
I'd like to make a few, just to see.

They are just awesome . I luv how fast we can get our stuff

Buying a kit off ebay, was what got me hooked on this in the first place...lol
She had the perfect wax. Couldn't find it anywhere else. But when I asked her if I could buy just wax from her (like in 50# qty) she refused to sell it to me
I tried another ebay supplier (who is also a friend of the original one) and she also has her own site off ebay, but her wax wasn't the same.
So.....now I have found the ones I like the best, and stick w/them.

IMHO, it's too "soft" and will not release easily enough.
Soy:To color or not to color that is the question?

In my personal experience over the past 3 years, more of my customers prefer the colors. When I'm doing a show, I color/scent coordinate them.
When I'm making an order, they can choose their own color (I just made some Orange Clove candles colored Hunter Green) When I color (unless it's really light) I use CBA. When I don't color, I use 464.
But I do also have customers that like the "natural" look.
