I would fully test those before making any more. Just a hunch that those wicks will prove a bit too large for those tins.
Trial and error, right? What would you say my melt pool should be after an hour or two? When I do finally get to test.

I know I have to wait, but it's very hard to do so. I'm ready to mix other scents together, and melt more wax. Oh well.

By very soft, what do you mean?
It's not so soft that I couldn't touch it, but soft enough that I can push a dent in the wax if I apply a reasonable amount of pressure. My candles have fragrance oils, where my first wick test did not. The first test solidified to the point of not being able to put a dent in the wax. I've just not made it there in my fragrance candle yet. Hope that makes sense.

Just curious, where did you see those size recommendations for the can sizes?
I did a little testing with six different sizes in that series. Pan of was and six wicks. I made my choices based on diameter of the melt pool. Just a rough test to have and idea.

Great job! Bet you can't wait for them to cure so you can burn them.
I'm very excited, , but I'm not real sure of the cure time. They're still very soft. At least they are in the 8oz. In not sure about the 2oz.

Beautiful! If you don't mind me asking, what wax and size wicks did you use? Was it a one pour or did you have to go and do a repour on the top?
Trappeur (very very nicely done!)
I'm testing out CSN wicks. I have two 7 and 9 in my 2oz. I've also poured two 8oz. A 22 and 26 went into them. I used GW 464 and is been a one pour so far. Thank you.

I love RE's Cuban Tobacco.
I'm still very new to all of this, and am not familiar with a lot of suppliers. What's RE? I'll definitely keep that one in mind. That was more of the scent I was after anyway. As far as the Brandy Pear. How much of a fruity scent does that have? I completely missed the Golden Rum in my search. I'll definitely have to give that one a look. Thank you.

Did my first test burn today for 3 hours. How long should I wait to do a second test burn, and how many should I do?

I would buy that in a heartbeat, but haven't seen anything like it.
I've looked around with no luck. If only. It could be the start of an excellent spring scent.

Long shot I'm sure, but does any supplier carry the scent and sticks around after a rain? Petrichor

Candle science has a pretty good hazelnut coffee. It's more of a coffee scent than anything.

I actually just purchased pipe tobacco, and Kentucky Bourbon from Flaming candle. I really like the scents, just wondering what else is out there. Gotta keep those options open.

I did loads of research, I just haven't made it as far as the testing stage just yet. It's a lot to retain. Since I have them, I'll see how they work. I'm definitely open for suggestions. Ideally, I'm looking for a more natural wick.

Both of these scents can be amazing alone. I'm asking for the opinion of the community which tobacco, and/or whiskey, bourbon, etc are your favorites.

New to the world of candle making, and I was wondering the results of csn wicks in 464. I have 2, 6 and 8oz tins. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the input. I'm definitely going to have to give that tobacco a go.
