When using jelly jars with regular paraffin, there is a problem with deep wells before the repour. They always look uneven (granted we are only beginners at this). Are soy candles easier to make in jelly jars? How does one minimize the uneven texture? Also when using a metal mold, the bottom side is always really smooth. Is that supposed to be used as right-side up? It looks lots better than the other side which has undergone repours and looks uneven? This may be a stupid question, but we are making our first candles this weekend.
