  1. Hiya! I have been trying to read up on using mica when creating wax melts. There seems to be limited info on the subject. I was wondering if anyone here has added mica to thier wax before pouring into either molds or clams. Does it stay suspended or sink to the bottom? Also how much mica would one use? I make wax melts so I dont have to worry about clogging a wick etc but also dont want to waste product. Is there any other components I should worry about when trying out this medium? I've seen videos on Instagram and it looks like molten metal and is BEAUTIFUL! Would love to add one or two to my spring/summer line. Thank you in advance for any/all guidance!

  2. Hi all! I have a customer that asked if I had a dupe of Scentsy's "Echo". I guess it has been discontinued. I HAVR never even smelled it so I have no idea where to start. Has anyone duped this scent? Or know anyone that has? Thank you in advance!

Yes, try Aliexpress. I have bought from there many times, and these are "onesies" if you want. Alibaba will want you to buy in quantity. I hope this helps? You may need to type in different keywords to get what you're looking for. I also just typed in  "Oil Warmer".  https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20180510175225&SearchText=tart+warmers

Awesome!!! I will get my searching on! Lol

You can find some fairly inexpensive at Boscovs.com.  Free shipping over $49 and 20% off promo code RMNBOSDEAL

Thank you so much! I will look at them too!

Levine Gifts has some, Mills Fleet runs sales and can get very reasonable, Colonial Tin Works is another.  There's more but I'd have to go through my invoices, my brain isn't working at full capacity today.

Also The Candle Source sells them wholesale.

Thank you so much! I will look into all of these!

  6. Hi all, I currently order from "candlewarmers" and I have looked through past posts and found a couple sites suggested from years ago...most of which are no longer in operation or have VERY small selection. So I'm wondering, can anyone direct me to a site that has wholesale wax melt/tart warmers? I would love to find western/rustic ones but I would be happy just to find a site with some selections! Thank you in advance!

Those look almost exactly like the metal molds I use for individual melts.  I also have them in square and oval.  IDK what these are made of but the tin are a pain to clean out cold as bits stick in the crevices.  If the clean hot they get too hot to handle.  These look lined with a non stick so maybe they would work way better.

Did you try one of those poppit liners that you posted first?  Just curious if the wax pops out hard and leaves nothing behind because if so that might be your best bet to try to duplicate at a cheaper cost.  Alibaba will duplicate pretty much anything but you have to buy a boatload from them.

I was thinking the same thing about the metal tart tins, I wondered if the maker of the flipping just somehow presses some kind of card stock into the TINS to form it, but how to make it leakproof?  No I didn't try the poppit liner but it would be amazing to like have 2 one in the warmer and then when you wanted to change just move it off to the side and put the second one one with a new scent and when the first one was cool just pop it out to store it or if it's done with the scent just toss the wax. I think both would have thier place I found the flippins after I found the poppit thing.

  8. I also found this company. When you scroll down in the listing there is a consumer made video and when she shoes the bottom it looks almost like brown cardstock but the company boasts that its leakproof... I like the idea that its something that is somewhat reusable but also disposable and it keeps the dish of your warmer looking new. Can someone look up this product and scroll down and watch the video and tell me what they think this product is? Like how can it be leakproof if it's only cardstock/paper? Did they spray flex seal on it?? Lol

Go to smooth-on.com for silicone ideas. It's expensive, but doable.

I'd prefer to buy them ready made and avoid the whole issue, unless you can figure out how to make them at such a tiny cost that that they can actually be profitable.

Not all silicones are the same. It will take a LOT of experimenting to find the silicone that won't split, shrink, stain, etc.

It just seems like SUCH a great idea and I was hoping I could make some kind of mold to be able to produce myself but I don't know what I could use yo mold silicone.

I use silicone cupcake liners....would that work for you?

I'm hoping to figure out how to manufacture to be able to retail them. Or to somehow figure out how to connect to a manufacturer? I don't even know how to START that process... I hope I'm making sense

  11. Hi all!

I was wondering if so.eine could help me. I would really like to be able to make these but for the life of me can't figure out how to make these little silicone "cups". Like if you wanted a mold for resin, the mold would be silicone! But is there a silicone mold for silicone? Or what else would you use? Thank you so much in advance!!

Oh man...I think I might end up skipping everything until spring/summer scents. Our whole family has been sick and we just moved and it feels overwhelming to even set foot in my workroom lol

But all of these ideas are making me want to get pouring! I had ordered a ton of Fragrance Buddy 1oz to check out, as well as a few from NG and I haven't even unboxed them!

I have a white tea ginger from somewhere that is very nice OOB that I want to try - it might mix well with a pear as someone was looking for a ginger pear.

I did a white tea and ginger from cw that is AHHHMAZING IMO

I was going to ask that question Little Light...Cause I need some suggestions myself.

I'm just like you Goldie....omg...all the samples I have....I probably should sell 1/2 of them really...

That Redwood & Cedar is that the one from Flaming?  Cause if it is, it's super strong.  I Can say that much and very true to its name.

Funny thing, I got 2 candles I have to make in Pumpkin Caramel Crunch (CS) that I have to send to Maine.  I love love that scent.....so rich and gooey...

Yep, next holiday is valentines day I need to work on.....Well I've got plenty of labels for it...

Hope life has settled down for you and you are able to enjoy getting back into your craft.

I mostly make soy candles and melts.  Took a break after I got my family Christmas gifts done, and finally made some candles today.  I was going to use one of my many new fragrances, like Redwood & Cedar, French Lavender & Honey, or maybe Cherry Cobbler. But yesterday I got a request for 2 Spiced Apples & Peaches candles, so that's what I made today.

Maybe next I'll make the Redwood & Cedar. Just got that one this week.  I have, oh so many fragrance oils I haven't used yet.  Some new and some I've had awhile.

I also want to make some Love Spell and Forever Red soon....good Valentine's Day scents.

Oooh what is Forever Red? That sounds intriguing... I haven't heard of that or redwood and cedar! Where did you get them if I may ask?
