  1. How'd you do that? I thought the COOPs were deleted once over. My computer only shows 2 pages of coops that are pretty much current ones.

I done an advanced search for silk, and checked the co op section to search in. I'm showing 12 pages of co ops. They go clear back to Sept of 2005.

  2. I had bought 2 jugs of it. I too got mold in one jug. It was a new jar, and I had never even opened it, it still had the black tape that was used to seal it. I also had problems with it liquifying after being made a while. I gave up and throwed the molded jug away, and won't try it again, it was a waste of money to me.

  3. Since everyone is posting pics about their mica's changing colors in their soap, I thought this might be a good thread for everyone to post what colors they are getting. It might come in handy for future reference.

Here is what I have so far. I still have more to try yet. Just copy and paste your results.

Amethyst Mica = Grey in CP

Cellini Red = Orange in CP

Manganese Violet = Deep Brown in CP

Ultramarine Violet = True color in CP

Ultramarine Blue = True color in CP

  4. Just an update, that all this mess had nothing to do with Bittercreek. My wonderful bank was the problem. They double posted, not only to my account, but to every customer that they have. I don't know if they notified anyone or not, but I know they didn't me.

Many thanks goes to Doneen for trying to help me.

I'm not sure this is the right section for this, so I guess it will be moved if it's not.

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems being overcharged by Bittercreek. I have sent an email to them, and if I don't hear from them I will call, I'm just asking if this has been a problem with anyone else. I know they are human, as anyone else, so I am in no way slamming them.

I used my debit card to order a few things at the end of Aug. I was going over my statements, and realized, they were paid three times within a week for the same amount the first part of Sept. I have my invoice for that amount.

  5. Mine did the same thing. I was so disappointed. It was almost instant that it turned dark brown. I was making mulberry soap, thank goodness it changed before I added it to the whole batch.

If you got the Amethyst Mica, be careful..mine turned gray. After the soap gelled, and I unmolded, it turned a golden yellow in some areas, but stayed the gray color in places too.

Oh, and I forgot to add, the Cellini Red, turned orange after the gel. Now I have orange and white peppermint soap. I had a little bit left over, and put it in a small heart mold, and it didn't gel, and stayed the red color.

  6. If anyone got manganese violet in the co op, it turned very dark brown on me in cp. The Cellini red turned orange, and the purple mica I got turned grey. So now I have an orange and white pepermint, a grey Japanese Plum, and the I caught the manganese before I got it mixed in my wild mulberry.

Your soap still looks good though, even if it wasn't the color you wanted.

  7. Anyone who would tell you you can't pick something up definitely has something to hide. Didn't she even use the old "my insurance (or zoning) prohibits me from being open to the public" routine?

What she did sounds more like she's experienced at making drug deals.

    LOL

Nope, there was no explaination what so ever.

  8. I had emailed her about a year or so ago, asking if she had a store front or could come by and pick up. Being that I am about 30-45 minutes from her, I thought it would be great to just go pick up. I received an email stating I'd need to pre pay, and she would meet me with the stuff at the rest area right above the exit to go to her place. I don't think so, I wouldn't mind meeting her, but I'm not going to pre pay and then sit there waiting for her to show up. Needless to say I just forgot about the idea.

  9. I base my retail on my cost. When I do sell them wholesale, I sell them half of what I do retail. The one person that does buy wholesale, then sells them for the same price I do. She said that way we wouldn't compete against each other, and we both win. It works for me.
