Being with my family, going to church, attending my boys sport events, working as a nurse, being active with my sons school and of course candle making :)
Hello everyone! Ive been making clamshell tarts but im very interested in making candles. With my tarts I use paraffin but im really wanting to switch to 100% soy. Can I get a very strong ht with soy and what wax would you recommend? Also with candles, do you think 464 is a good wax and how would you test for safety in a 8 oz mason jar?
Hello everyone!!! So here is my problem, my tarts have a VERY strong hot throw at first and then after a few hours it gone. Im using a tart warmer that uses a 25 watt bulb. The wax I used was a blend of 4625 and 4630.
Yes, 3 different scents. I used Sunday brunch, baby powder, and pumpkin souffle. It is leaving a bottom portion on the tart in the clamshell. Almost like I used 100% container wax but I didn't.
I let them cure for about 24 hours before I tried. Also I was wondering if I pour too much on the top on the clamshell, would it make it harder to get out?
I have been making clamshell tarts and haven't had an issue with the wax sticking to the bottom of the clamshell until this evening. Ive been using the same wax. I use a custom parasoy blend. I believe I got my house a little to warm today. Could that of caused the problem?
Thanks everyone for your suggestions!!! Im loving this website today I poured and opened my sliding glass door and turned on my ceiling fan. That helped a lot. Moonshine my son also has allergies and allergy induced asthma. Im going to move to another room besides my kitchen and use a fan to pull it out of the house. I might even build me a room in my husbands garage and put a good ventilation system in it. Also im going to get me a mask
