I thought 6006 was 70/30.. I'd rather use straight soy than 6006. It makes a pretty candle but I can't get a throw to save my life and I've tested just about every wick there is. Zinc did the best but not good enough. I went back to Paraffin or straight soy.
Here we go again with the wax bashing
in General Candle Making Discussions

I'm sorry I missed it but this whole soy thing is out of control. Soy is soot free, cleaner, blah blah blah. What about the GMO's in soy wax? This wax fight is such a circular argument but lately it seems a few soy makers are pushing it a bit too far. Then you see feedback from there customers about how their candles don't throw. Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't you focus on a quality product and make sure your candles throw before you sell them?
I have been a soap maker most of my life and don't use Palm products- I don't bash those who make Palm candles, to each their own. I wish Soy makers who bash paraffin candle makers would think like this and not bash.
But in a throw competition, Paraffin would probably win every time providing it was wicked right. Though it's evil apparently. My brother in law refines petroleum for candle wax and the process to filter it is crazy.
I just wish people would live and let live. We are all different and have our preferences but doesn't mean we have to bash.
Soap makers do this too and sometimes on their listing in their shops- really unprofessional.
There's my 2 cents in case anyone cares.
