Where do you get your containers Suzyk?

Your portion cups are adorable!! Did you do the labels yourself? I've read on here that the containers have to be made out of a certain plastic or the scent dissipates.

Trying to find a wax or wax blend that will work for the clamshell scent bars is going to be expensive, I think. I purchased JoyWax and PIllar of Bliss of Bliss and the JoyWax was too soft and the Pillar of Bliss doesn't have a great throw. So, I am mixing the JoyWax with the POB but I don't think that is going to be my final blend. I wish we could order smaller amounts to test.

I was thinking the portion cups would be more popular because they could get a variety. I may try them as well for a test. Do they hold the scent in? I'm also looking for a blend that is creamy looking and has the long lasting throw. I would like to see a pic if the board will allow it.

Thanks SuzyK what is it about the portion cups you like better? I have thought about using them after seeing some websites but still researching. How much do you sell one for? Is the soy blend one you created on your own?

I had one incident but called and emailed and got responses right away. I hate to hear that because I've had such good luck with them.

Darn! I had some scents that I really wanted to use but they definitely don't last the 14 hours. I guess I will have to check other vendors for the same scent. Hopefully they will last. Right now I am using JoyWax and Pillar of Bliss. Hadn't planned on using them together but the JoyWax is way to soft.

There was no way the JoyWax was coming out in one piece. lol I scooped what I could out and added some pillar of bliss and that worked better. What a mess!! Thanks Scented!

I just started making clamshell wax and had been wondering this myself. If the scent is not lasting 14 hours would we need to just not use that scent or adjust the wax blend?

Hello! I recently decided I would like to try making scent bars - like the Scentsy bars. I had some wax I had bought about 10 years ago. Made one candle and put it aside.lol I dug it out recently and used this mystery wac to make some bars and it worked great but the individual I bought it from is no where to be found. So. I bought some Pillar of Bliss and Joy Wax from Natures Garden trying to find a comparable wax. Here is where I need help. The JoyWax is soooo soft. I do think I added too much EO to wax (1.2 eo to 8oz of wax) It is so soft I can't pop it out of the clamshell. Is that par for the course for JoyWax - to be soft or do I need to remelt. I'm sure I will probably lose my EO. Are these even good waxes for the scent bars? I wish I would have found this forum before I bought the waxes.
