  1. I spray painted a ton of wicker baskets for my wedding centerpieces. It did take a while for the smell to go away, but I was using a cheap paint. I bought a bunch of different sized baskets for $.25-.50 and thrift stores and then prettied them up :-)

  2. My first order I got a little new customer packet...and it came with a magnet and a new mouse pad....I needed a new mousepad so I was excited.:yay: And I loved the FO's. I plan on ordering from them again just as soon as I get the extra $$$...I plan on a big order so I need to save a little first!

  3. I skimmed through the post and couldn't find where you had explained what TYPE it was, I just remembered seeing that it was whipped! My brain has been some where else but in my head lately.

But about discoloring from vanillas and stuff....in whipped soap. I pulled this from Nizzy's page and I hope its ok!

    "Vanilla Fragrant Oil Trial

Three days ago I made up a batch and left it white and used Brambleberry's 'Vanilla Select'. You all know how brown your soap turns when using most of the vanilla fragrant oils on the market, even Brambleberry's but I am watching this batch with particular interest, I wanted to see how dark the vanilla fragrant oil will turn it. Well here it is at the start of day four and the soap has turned from white to a light creamy fawn colour and holding so far. " http://home.exetel.com.au/lozniz/Whipped/

If its not ok to I guess someone can go ahead and delete it, but I thought it might encourage people to try the whipped soap. I love it! and it floats!

  4. Wasn't it whipped soap? If it is, whipped doesn't discolor like the other soaps....just so you know! I used warm vanilla sugar in whipped soap and my HP turned DARK brown, but the whipped just turned a light tan? If there is that much of a difference between HP and whipped soap from Warm Vanilla Sugar, I be willing to try anything that discolors! I wish I had some of my HP but my mom stole it all! The big soap on the right has a funny darker spot from me trying to give it a "bath" to make it shiny. I don't think it liked it!

  5. no wasnt my FIRST batch, i guess i could have said it clearer....they were my first logs....i had tried cp 2x before but I think these ones turned out better. they were still soft but i didn't think they would harden up with out me taking them out of the mold. I did them and put them in the oven set to 200 for a couple of hours and turned it off, let them sit over night, took them out and let them sit till the next day to take them out of the mold. still soft but ok to handle, I let them sit 2 more days before I cut them because of how soft they seemed.

  6. it didn't break, I did it in my "martha mold" and the 2 bigger ones were 2lb batches that fit it, the other one is a 1lb batch so I stuck a piece of cardboard wrapped in wax paper to make it smaller and when I tried pulling the cardboard off it REALLY didn't want to come loose.....It was still a little warm so I left it on there a while and then yanked it off. thats why it doesnt look so great, but I just wanted to try the different recipes

Oh and the pink sugar is already changing....you can see it in the first pic on the 2nd post, its the bottom bar on the right, and in the 3rd pic its in about the same position. You can see that I tried to swirl.....but the colors just didnt take!

  7. I forgot to say that these are my first CP logs, and I'm not sure how I like them. I normally do CPHP so CP is quite different for me, I've only tried it 2 other times. I tried 3 different recipes, two 2lb batches and 1 one pound batch. Bergamot is the whitest one, I used EO and red clay for the color, then the orangish one (my colorants aren't the best, it didn't turn out AT ALL like I wanted it to!) is pink sugar! the one on top is jungle love and I think it smells like bubble gum, juicy fruit I think.....
