Sounds nice...I like soap that has a creamy lather.

I think what happened at the sooz calc was you needed to change you batch to pounds in weight..not use ounces in weight. I did it both ways and when I punched in 39.2 weight in ounces, it came out to the 6.8 water/2.24 oz lye...but when I calculated the 39.2 into pounds (2.45)..I got this:
14.9 oz water
5.52 oz lye

Okay...little late now but...I must have been tired last night but...I read that you got the
water calulated 10 to 15 oz
lye 5.49to5.32
from the sooz calc and you got the
water calculated 6.8
lye at 2.24 oz at MMS
That's why I punched in the numbers at MMS...didn't do sooz. Not sure about the recipe though...I'm not good at what looks right and what doesn't...when I used to make soap...I just used what I wanted to use, ran through calc and made the batch. sorry couldn't have been more help.
Anyway, still doesn't seem right about the 6.8 oz of water and the 2.24 oz of lye...'cause that seems more for a one pound batch..not the 39 + oz you have.

I've seen them but never used them....but a co-worker used them for her teenage son had also said they didn't work on him either.

You might have accidently punched numbers in wrong at MMS...I just punched in your recipe and the lye and water comes out as the same amounts at Sooz...hth:)

I love the color E!!
I've never done the log molds with CPHP but...you can unmold, cut the bars and then cut the rough stuff off.
Edited to add: I too like the rough tops (which ends up being the bottom of bar when done)...that's part of the reason I like HP soap!!...but it's just my personal preference.

I have to agree, the pk flakes are so much easier to use.

Well he's on a roll already!! Look good:)

Looks pretty darned good!!

Wow!! I love the colors!! Nice.

I've never used the stuff you are getting but....about a year ago, I had ordered the Lotion sampler kit which included:
Premium Lotion
Regular Lotion
Spray On Lotion
After Bath Body Lotion
I really liked the premium lotion and regular lotion. I really couldn't tell a difference between the After Bath Body Lotion and the Regular Lotion though. Didn't care too much for the spray on lotion...but not because I felt it wasn't good...I just don't care for spray lotions (but that's just me).
I am interested in hearing what you think of the samples you are getting.

This is my actual first attempt at a basket, I usually make sets in vinly bags but thought I would make an honest attempt for Vday. I actually shrink wrapped this basket, which I have never had much luck at. This is the first one I completed, the others just need final touches.
This one is in Garden of Love - my interpretation of Love Spell LOL, included in the basket is a wickless candle (smelly jelly), lotion bar, CP soap, dry oil spray, heart shaped bath butters and a tea light in a heart shaped holder. The others that I am completing will look very similar to this one, they are Pink Sugar, Blooming Tulips and Cool Water (mens baskets). The Pink Sugar will be adorned with Pink and Brown ribbon to coordinate with my pink sugar colors plus pink/brown is my newest obsession. The men's baskets have cool water loofah scrub bars, dry oil spray, lotion bar and eucalyputs mint massage oil. All the baskets I am making are for orders from the website etc.

I have often read that people who make castile soap...they go with 90% olive and 10% castor.
