Love 'em! Good work!

For those who make hurricanes with dried flowers, what is the best place you've found to get nice, quality flowers? I've seen so many sites but I just don't know where to order from!:undecided Thanks for any suggestions!

I really like the color! Good work!

This is just beautiful Donita!! I always love seeing your candles!!
Portia, you ought to put up instructions on how to make those!!!
Great work ladies!!!
I agree! I would love to learn how to do those!
Absolutely gorgeous Donita--as usual!

Portia,
That is just lovely! I absolutely love the flower color! I can't help but to ask what type of transplant?? I am a double organ transplant--a kidney from my sis in '98 and then a pancreas in 2000. All is well:D !

Those are so nice! Great for spring time! Great job!

Those look great! I have got to get one of those molds!
-
I agree! Temperature is everything with these palm waxes. I make sure that I heat my molds so hot that I can barely touch them and always pour at 200 or slightly above. I HTH! Keep us posted.

This might be a stupid question, but is that a gel candle? Anyway, I think it looks great! In fact, I know someone who would probably try to drink it!

Hello,
My opinion is YES! When I do make jar candles I tap the sides while they are cooling and then poke relief holes. Nothing worse then selling a candle with a big void in the middle of it! HTH

Hi Pixie
What type of wax did you use as your overpour?
-
They are beautiful! Those should be in a candle shop somewhere! Very professional!

I use a 36 flat braid on the 3" dia., palm pillars. Works like a charm.
Thanks for the tip!

Here is the Feather Palm wax I think it's 5801 from BC. The blue one is a 3.5 x 4 pillar with a LX 24 wick, the yellow one is a 2 x 3 pillar with LX12 Raw wick. Obviously the wicks are too big, but I also found this wax to be difficult to work with. It's very hard not to get overpour on these because the wax shrinks away from the mold very quickly.:undecided Just my opinion. I prefer the granite wax.

I really like those! The color is awesome!

Just wondering....where's the olive and is that one shaken...or stirred????
Just kidding--I love it-the color is awesome-great job!

What a sweetheart you are! Nice job on the hurricane and I agree with you about working with the 1260!
-
Those are adorable! Very creative thinking!

I know what you mean about palm wax and over pour! I actually watch the wax cooling so I can repour right away to try to avoid it! Very time consuming! But I love what you've done here! Very cool!

Very pretty Veronica! Love the shape and the color!
