  1. I am trying to make some layered pillars. However, I need help when pouring the second layer should I be pouring cooler than the first layer or hotter? I have been reading about poking relief holes in the candle, but what does that accomplish?

Wouldn't that cause the candles to bleed together? Anyone who can give me some direct as to what to do, I would greatly appreciate all the help I can get so that my product will come out good.

    TIA

  2. I am using several different brands of soy wax to test. I also have some beeswax that I add to the soy to make it a little harder, and to give them a higher melting point.

My problem is getting the correct amount of beeswax add to make the candle to come out correctly. Say I use 1 lb of soy wax, I measure on a digital scale. How much beeswax should I be adding?

    TIA

  3. Has anyone here ever made chunks and chunk candles out of soy wax? I want to keep my candles natural so I will use beeswax to make them harder. I just haven't figure out the ratio I need to add my beeswax. Say I measure out a pound of soy wax, how much beeswax should I add to the soy?

    TIA

  4. I am looking for a supplier who will ship USPS instead of UPS. I do not need anything else but the wicks so I don't want to have to pay an outrageous price for shipping for something so light it can probably be shipped first class with USPS.

Can any one provide me with a supplier that will ship USPS?

    Thanks,

    Chauna
