  1. I got a gc from backwoods from my superest, duperst bestest secret buddy in the world ( Thanks again sweetpea) and I was totally lost as to what to get at backwoods, but I finally decided on a few that seemed to be spoken highly of around here. I got Blue, Lemon Tart and Grammys Punkin Pie. Finally had some ambition and decided to soap one of them.....heres the results.

Awesome job Cara. You are doing wonderful. You need to share with your wonderful secret buddy what you did to make such nice sales. I am so proud of you!

    Your stalker! :P

  3. Things went well. Was a smaller gathering, but from the 6 ladies that were there, sales were well over 450.00. Big scents were Bamboo and Satsuma. Nice summery scents. One lady expressed interest in a homeshow come end august/early september so that sure helps. Alll and all it was a good afternoon!

Must have been all them good luck forum vibes!

  4. . What did you use and how hot did you pour? What kind of magnet material did you use?

    Hey donita

As for the wax it was 4625, just some leftovers in the pot. I poured around 178 degrees. I was really worried about melting the glue off too but it really seemed to hold great. I used some rubber cement stuff that my husband broght home. He says the plumbers he works with use it for pvc pipes? I ended up using a magnet that was on the fridge. A heavyish duty calender sheet that was there, from last year, so I just cut off a hunk and glued it to the stamp. I really hadnt planned on doing this, just was a spur of the moment thing so maybe next time, if there is a next time, I will try to pour cooler as well and maybe use a different wax. I dont have any palm wax around but maybe trying the 4625 at a cooler temp or some mottle wax. I have a really neat bee stamp that I dont use for anything, maybe attempt some beeswax? Cant wait to see your creations!

  5. That looks great. Looks like you heated the wax and then stamped. I just got a set of new stamps that I got on ebay and am waiting to try them. I have too much to do right now so I can't play with wax. Darn. Donita

Hey DOnita...Poor busy lady...No time to play.

With this candle I put the stamp in the mold and made it stick with a magnet. It was a rather detailed stamp so maybe thats why it looks wonky.

Cant wait to see what ucome up with. Such brilliance!

  6. Sorry for my tardiness. I agree that perhaps third hand information to some is just that. Third Hand. But in the real world, we tend to take information that friends pass to us and use this information in our day to day dealings. How many times have we gone to a friends fabulous hairdresser or tried that new delish item at the store after a friend recommended it. This girl is a REAL friend of mine. We have shared heartaches, smiles, tears, etc. We used to live in the same city but she was moved as her husband is in the military, so yes, s he does exist and I have no reason to doubt her dealings with this company. Isnt that why we have friends?

I was not trying to piss in anyones cornflakes. I have seen numerous posts about other peoples mishaps with suppliers as well as Kudos to the wonderful suppliers that we do have out there and thought that maybe this information would be helpful to someone.

I value all the information that i have aquired from this forum. Tips, tricks, trade secrets and a mind full of other tid bits.

I am sorry if I have overstepped the boundries.
