  1. Thanks for the honesty, guys! I really appreciate it. The scent I used was Almond Pastries but I also made them in Sugar Cookie. I just used the votive wicks that I got from PeakCandles. I still need to trim the wick a little though. Yea, I will need to fix the hole later. Thanks again!
  2. 2 months....I know its not that long but throughout the months I have been making a lot and testing them ....of course nothing fancy, just mainly containers and votives (single scents and colors)....starting off with the instructions that candletech had posted. I guess I shouldnt have said its my very "first" candle I have ever made but instead, after testing and making a good a amount, I feel that this particular candle is my first "success". What do I need to do more to make sure that they are going to be good?
  3. Well, I tested other ones that I had made already and they burned fine. How many do I need to test to ensure that it is good?
  4. This is my first creation and I just wanted some honest feedback from you guys. :smiley2: My company is having a crafts fair that is coming up in Dec. I was wondering....do you guys think this will sell? If so, I dont know how much to sell it for? I am also making snowmans. Thanks for your help!!
  5. Thanks SatinDucky....What wax would u recommend for making stack candles? I have only used Peak - Performance Blend Container Wax.
  6. I was wondering which braid wick do I need in order to make stack candles? I was looking at PeakCandles and there is so many different kinds. Also does anyone have any instructions on making stack candles? All I know is basically cut out shapes using a cookie cutter and then stack each individual pieces on top of each other but I have no idea how to put the braid wick together with the stack. Thanks for your help!
  7. Thanks for all the suggestions! :smiley2: I will check them out.
  8. Hi Everyone. I am a newbie to this forum and also new to making candles. I want to say that this is a very helpful message board. I am from Northern California and for some reason I am not able to find any candle supply stores besides going to Michael's or Joann's (craft stores). I am also looking for molds and dont know where is a good cheap place to get them. does anyone know of any place in the bay area or any online stores that sell cheap candle molds? Also, can we use soap or candle molds? If so, that would give me more designs to choose from. I am looking for molds that some of you guys have of foods (e.g. lemon pie ~ that looked great!) Sorry for the all the questions. Thanks for your help Jess :smiley2:
