  3. HI Belinda...Yes I do use all of the same wax for both the chunks and overpour. Now when I do this in the jars (and I will :)  ) I will OVERPOUR these chunks with container wax.  Let me tell ya what I use and if you want me to take a picture I will. (the aluminum pans look like they have been put through a battle, but that's ok..hee hee)   I bought like 2 of the 3 or 4 pack of the aluminum pans at Walmart.(you will need several pans so that you can pour several scents of wax at a time and this will save so much time and you won't have to wait so long).....they are like the 8x8 size and I also bought the next largest size too (more like a cake pan size, but not as big as a cake pan). I line them with aluminum foil (bringing the foil up all sides) and then poured the wax in ....when it has solidified and while it is STILL WARM but cuttable without the wax leaking out (about an hour or so?), I carefully peel off the aluminum foil and lay the wax on a LARGE aluminum cookie sheet (from Walmart)  then with the largest spackling knife (spend the money and buy a good one) I could buy from Walmart,  I cut into long slices first and then turned them around and cut into the chunks. When I put the chunks into the pan to create the final product,  I do NOT measure out the different scent chunks....i just go for it and put in equal looking amounts of each wax scented chunks (goes fast this way and you get to see and smell your final product quicker...which is GOOD! :) So anyhow I put the different scented chunks in a pan (lined with alum foil) and overpour...then place a few more (of the extra chunks) on top and THEN I get after those top chunks with a heat gun and melt them into submission....melt the rough edges off the tops of the chunk tops and it makes your chunks look yummier and nicer...did I spell yummier right...oh well if not that is ok, but ya know what I mean. :) When your final product is STILL WARM but solidified, take out of the pan, pull off the aluminum foil...place on your alum cookie pan and cut into the chunk sizes you want with your spackling knife. That is it! Enjoy! :)

Ohhh so YUMMY!!!  Great idea with the heat gun at the end!...You've insired me too!!!  Thanks for the share!!  Wonderful job!!!  Now....I hungry!  ha ha!  :D

  4. You should send along a sheet of questions that are important to you... (like you read on this board saying all the time everyone is different)  =)  But,  Id make sure to ask 1. type of warmer, wattage, hotplate or bulb, tealight.  2. Give them a rate chart, and have them scale the throw, the lenghtivity, 3. what size room? any ceiling fans, fans, central air ect.  and other questions that are important to you.  =)

Im sure others will chime in on here and give you some other wonderful suggestions...  =)

  5. There's one fragrance in particular that I'd love to find.  I know several soapers that would give up some functioning body part for this stuff.  I really don't want to say here what the fragrance is or who the supplier was.  He's a nice guy.  :-)  I'd have to do this totally on the down low.

your making me curious too..

  8. Btw- sea witch is much better IMO than celestial sea- I have not tried FB celestial sea I am assuming it's dead on like all the others but sea witch is very strong and pleasant - celestial sea to me smells like cat pee

I sure would not want something that smells like "cat pee"  *shudder*  Its funny, thats what I always think when I smell alot of satsuma FO....I only like a very few of that one...

  10. I was thinking her husband was taking over?  I think I have bought a few off him on eBay..??  Unless its the wrong person. But, Im pretty sure its him, he even has on his "about me" page about his wife passing and he would be continuing her work.

I can get the link if youd like.

  11. I guess I should have explained better...lol...I have read quite a few comments where some add a certain (favorite) FO to ALL their blends...I guess giving their wax a "signature" scent....like, sometimes when you smell a wax you KNOW which vendor it came from.  Ive never done this before so thats why I was confused...like, if I added a few drops lets say "lavender" to every blend I make, I just dont think it would always smell so great....So, Id be scared to do that....So, I just had to ask, do people really do this?

Hope that explains my question better...lol!  Im terrible at explaining...

  12. Your welcome Sonoma! Enchanted Spice sounds delightful! Ive never tried that before...looks like another one to add to my never ending collection!  :thumbsup2:
