  1. Here's a long timer coming back to say "Thank You" for helping out my girlie! I want to tell you how much research and testing this chica has been doing. She adopted ALL of my candle stuff and is really taking it seriously. For the "old timers" here on Candletech, you will remember me. Scented......take care of my friend here!!!!!!!!

CandleAddictRN you rustic "ROCKS"!!! Use some of these suggestions and the tools from the "box" and you will be very happy with your results!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Julie, your too darn hard on your self girl! Your "pink balls" look fabulous! Just remember what you used (ingredients), how you were standing while making them, how long you held your breath and most importantly, write down the cuss words you used so you can remember them next time!!!!!!! :laugh2: I have to say I'm glad it's you making them and NOT me!!!!! :D

  3. Hmmmm, not sure if FO's are the way to go with pet shampoos. I know there are a few EO's that you can use for pets. You'd have to research it. I haven't ventured into that area yet but I have seen it discussed before. I have a teeny tiny long hair Chi and the shampoo and afterbath spray I buy for her has EO's incorporated into it. HTH

  4. Candlebean, I have a sterlite storage box that I can use any colored paper or fabric inside for deco and use a light on either side as a light box. It's make-shift but it works for a lot less money. Try it first to see if gives you the look your wanting. You don't have to spend a lot of money on a light box. Go to the goodwill or dollar store and find a childs babydoll playpen. You can cut out the netting and drape a shear cloth over it and place your lights on the outside sides and use that as a lightbox. Another idea, get a pendiflex file frame and put it together, drape a shear fabric over it and place your lights on either side. There are lots of things you can do without spending $50-$70. Another thought, Prairieannie showed me a little trick that I can use in my graphic software where I can take the pic any where and cut out the image and place it on any background I want. HTH

  5. If you are only going to do a couple I would have them embroidered. You can probably find someone locally who can embroider them reasonable.

Carol, my mom has been doing embroidery stuff for a while now. She's has the big fancy equipment. Your logo would have to be digitized and that requires a set up and degitize fee. For only one or two shirts, I wouldn't recommend the embroidery route. Just speaking from personal experience.

  6. Nugget needs a friend -- the Boy King!

Given the fact that Nugget could pass for Peabodys sibling, you better include Peabody on Nuggets "buddy" list!!!!!! LOL I'm not really sure why but surveys show a lot of people aren't attracted to orange cats. I have to admit when Ashley brought Peabody home my first thought was "orange!" That being said, I've own several cats in my long, old age and I have to admit, Peabody is by far the best cat I've ever owned. He has personality plus and woudln't trade him for anything. I'm totally drawn to orange cats now, lol. It's kinda weird, his orangeness has mellowed to a "fawn" color. Julie can vouch for this booger!s character. He doesn't lay on my printer but does like to lounge on top of my monitor. I'm suspecting, like you, they are drawn to the heat.

Brenda, your soaps are just fabulous!
