  1. We are in the same situation. She has made custom molds for us for several years and we LOVE them. We thought she partnered with some other people on her website and that maybe it would continue, but there has been nothing mentioned. Her site was still there last time I checked - maybe we need to give it some time to see if it will continue. It' so sad when you lose someone so young and talented. I would totally understand if the website comes down..........
  2. She had been sick for a while and had to time time off periodically. I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with her, but her passing was unexpected. Her neice keeps her facebook page open and posts pictures of her kids and husband. It is very sad, she was only 43 - I think.
  3. I am very sad to say that Corey passed away earlier this year. She was a wonderful person and our friend. The best mold maker we had ever found. Please check her Facebook page if you want to read about her - Corey Daoust Grayson https://www.facebook.com/corey.daoustgrayson?fref=ts We will miss you terribly Corey!
  4. I live in IL too. Could you tell me where you buy wax locally? Thank you!

  6. I do mak palm containters. I have used 9 oz Hex jars with CSN 16 wick and they work very well. I am just now starting to branch out to different size jars and wick testing for the Glass Glow Palm wax. It's tough!! I have not tried the CD wicks in palm container candles yet, but I will....
  7. I have been a CSN user since I first started making Palm Wax candles. I am at the point of running out of the CSN that I had been using for my 3" diameter pillars so I have been frantically trying to find a replacement. For me - CD wicks seem to be the answer. I have been testing CD 12, 14 & 16 with my pillars and I have decided to go with CD 12. It gives the cleanest melt pool and leaves enough wall behind so that someone not paying attention to their candle burning will have less chance of a blow out. Here are some pictures of my most recent burn test. I have burned these candles 3 hours at a time - these pictures are after 12 hours of burning. Green is tortoise shell palm with CD 14 - Burgundy is tortoise shell palm with CSN 14 and blew out on the 4th burn - Red is CD14 - this looks like a future possible blow out and the melt pool is not a clean as the CD 12 - Blue is CD 16 and is kind of an ugly burn - the 4 color with white at the top is CD 12 - you can see how much cleaner and neater the burn is. Hope this helps!!
  8. Thank you very much! That's more than I've ever found
  9. Hi everyone. I have been reading this forum for a while now and I LOVE it. I love the way everyone helps each other! This is my first time posting. My husband and I have had a candle business for about 4 years now, and our beeswax pillars and tapers are some of our best sellers. We would really like to add 1" diameter candlesticks to our line but have not been able to find a mold for them. We are looking for a church type candle mold that is 1" diameter the entire length - no taper, and at least 9" high. Has anyone ever seen one? I will appreciate any suggestions - Thank you!
