  1. I have had my store for 2 years now and I guess with having the candles on constant display they are opened and closed a lot more.  Before I just did craft shows and wholesale orders so never had this problem.  My problem is that my label gets off center after it is opened a few times and I assume my lid is stretching.  I use the square mason jars and the rustic metal lids.  Anybody else have this problem?  It is very annoying to walk to your display and see labels turned half way around a jar.  I have seen people use the label on the jar itself, but I'm not sure about how it works with the imprint of the wording on the jar since it's not a flat smooth surface.  Anybody label the jar and not have any issues?

  2. I used to make pillars many moons ago with no problem, but lately every time I make one now I can't seem to get my final pour right.  There is always this little area at the top that just looks awful.  I am using 1343, doing a cold pour rustic.  I poured to the top of my pillar at 165.  How long do I wait to do the repour to finish off the top so that it blends perfectly?

  3. I was at a craft show this weekend and I had some pillars on display. This guy walks up and says "you make these"? I respond, "I sure did". He said, "I'm gonna start making them" and I respond "cool". Then he says, "you buy from the co-op". I said where? (thinking there must be some wax co-op I don't know about, lol). Then he strangely says, "you must not be from here". I replied "yes, I'm from here". He then says, "oh, you know - the feed store on Texas Ave". He then asked me where I do buy from...like I am gonna tell him!! I don't ever share my suppliers with anyone at a craft show:rolleyes:

  4. I get several of my oils from there - Butt Naked, hillbilly homebrew, Christmas splendor, Sweet Orange & chili pepper, pink sugar, sage & citrus and they are all wonderful fragrances with great throw in my wax. I love their prices, just wish I could get their products in much sooner - it takes me up to a week to get their orders in, but I am in Texas. I can order from BCN or Rustic Escentuals and I get them much sooner than from NG, so I always try to order when I am on my last bottle before I run out.

  5. WOW - that is tough. You couldn't get a copy of your logo from whomever designed it for you? I had that happen once and had to have her send it to me. There is nothing like a computer crashing and then having to set up all your labels, etc. again. I hate when that happens. And no matter, even though I copy them on a cd or flash drive I still have to tweak the labels so they print correctly. Your products look great!!

  6. Bittercreek South's Spiced Cranberry is one of my best fall scents. I didn't get much poured this weekend, but am gonna be busy pouring this week getting ready for my upcoming fall shows, which are approaching very fast. I'll be pouring all my fall scents and even my Christmas fragrances, plus adding to my regular inventory that I keep made up year round. This is my favorite time of year - I love the fragrances of all the fall/Christmas scents and can't wait to start pouring them. Hillbilly Homebrew and Christmas Splendor, both from Nature's Garden, are two of my best selling Christmas time favorites.

  7. I love how Rustic Escentuals/Aroma Haven gives out scented wax samples, along with samples of their fragrance oil, oh and don't forget the candy. Last week I received an order and received a wax sample of a fragrance oil that I would have never thought to order - Kettle Korn. Have any of you tried this? I think I will have to order this and give it a try. It smelled just like the real deal. I was wondering how well this fragrance would sell. This is my first post here, I think. I was a member on so many other boards years ago, and they have come and gone, but I am still here making candles.
