I've been doing research on which EOs tend to do well with paraffin container wax. So far my research says these ones are fine to use:- bergamot, rosemary, basil, Geranium, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, Litsea Cubeba, Davana, Patchouli, Vetivert, Rose (Oil, not Absolute), Cumin, Coriander (Seed and Leaf), Sandalwood, Amyris, Tea Tree, Thyme, Olibanum, Cistus Oil, cinnamon, cedar, geranium, ylang ylang I understand citrus isn't great and too much clove causes clubbing of the wick. Some people say peppermint is Ok and some say otherwise. Any views on the above using paraffin container wax?

I'm fairly new at candlemaking and have a couple of questions about diameters. To work out the correct diameter of a container (so I can get the right wick) do I measure to include the glass walls or do I just measure the inside part - ie where the wax is actually going to be. To complicate things further, if my container is hexagonal do I measure the widest part? I'm trying to work out the diameter of this glass hexagonal jar in cm - See photos - http://www.flickr.com/photos/30114490@N07/ (Please ignore the photo of the tin and soap)
