  1. How is everyone doing with there premier 700 series wick samples? I am having a heck of a time with mine. I am using 415 soy with a tablespoons if B/W per pound. That's what was suggested to me to start. As of yet I have tried most of the larger wick sizes for a 8 oz. wide mouth mason jar. As of yet, I have not had very good melt pool and no hot throw. Is that weird or what. I taken the same 2 candles to work with me since last sunday and tested everyday in the break room. One was a jellie jar and the other was the 8 oz wide mouth jar. All the girls were putting their nose in the jar while burning to find out the scent. Well yesterday I changed back to my cotton core wicks the 51, 60 and 62 sizes is all I have ever used. And you could smell the scent out in the hallway. They didn't have to put their noses in the jar to get the scent. I really like the premier wicks, a great wick if you ask me. So my question is what the heck am I doing wrong? Well anyway after all this testing I asked my self yesterday what the heck am I doing. I am hopefully going to change waxes to CB 135 when all the 415 is gone. So why am I not testing witht the cb 135 to start with? DUH!!! Well any way I guess if I was to answer my own question about the wicks and the wax " If it Ain't broke don't fix it" Any suggestions anybody on what the heck am I doing wrong with the premier wicks. Thanks for letting me vent. Christi

  2. Where the heck does she start. Been looking at the FBB for her and then adding from there. Trista Marie is 14 and has been doing a little research on her own. She came up with a reciepe that had apple cider vinager in it and boy did it stink. I got her the soap kit from BCN and she wasn't to impressed with it. Also she got the sugar scrub from JS with the whipped body mousse. She loveed the sugar scrub, but she's not real sure about the mousse. So any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I think she just wants to make her own concoctions. Thanks Christi

  3. Good Morning Meridith, Did you get any snow yesterday? A good 6 to 8 inches here at my house. So far what little testing I have done I like them. But liked the idea that they are closer to us and don't have to wait a week for shipping. Still need to get up there to see you. Only an hour away. Thanks Christi

  4. I tested 4630 and JS 123 with peaks sugar cookie F/O boy that smells good. I used a walmart jar that has soft square edges, same size wick 28 LX cause I didn't know where to start. The JS123 has deeper color, burns hotter or had a bigger melt pool then the 4630. They both smell awesome. I like the idea of having a full melt pool with the 123, but will have to wick up for the 4630. Can't say that either of them had the best scent throw. They both smelled awesome.

Then I did Mc's soy and Eco Soya 135, they both say 100% soy so not to sure about the difference in the wax. For these I used a 8 oz. jellie jar same wick which was a 51 cotton core. The 135 burned faster or hotter in 3 hrs. with a melt pool to deep, the MC soy was still having hang up on the sides with maybe a 1/4 inch deep. Well any way I was shocked that they both burned totally different. I mean like way different since they both say 100% soy. It must be the "other fillers" and such that make the difference. So I guess I will take the 2 soy candles with me to work and wick the 135 down and burn at work today. As far as the scent throw, I can honestly say I have no clue which one I liked better or had the most throw.

I'm not trying to give bad vibes on the different waxes, but was trying to get a wax that I could order that was closer to me, cause I just hate the thought of giving UPS all my hard earned money for shipping. I have used MC's soy for over a yr. and have never tried anything else. But the shipping is killing me. So what did I learn, my house smelled pretty dang wonderful.

I have to say the I liked the 135 and JS123 but have some JS 50/50 on the way. So if any of you have thoughts or help with the wicking or anything else please let me know. Thanks Christi

  5. Ok this is the 3rd time. Dang internet. I am going to test 4630. JS123, and JS 50/50. I did a search for this but haven't found anything as of yet. I think most of us use 1 to 1.5 oz. of F/O for soy. And if you are like me you have a few that you need to tweek a little. Or something happenes like the phone rings, or the dog or the kids start talking to you. They never talk to me unless I'm trying to measure. Or your running late for hubby's chemo, and you forget what the heck your doing and what step your at. Well any who is there a good starting point. Is 1 oz on the blends enough or do you need to add a little extra. 10 lbs. can only go so far. Dang I hate testing but some of my F/O's I didn't like in soy so thought that I would give this a whirl. Any help I would be greatful. Thanks Christi

  6. Katie Jo's Pink Lemonade is on my list to get. Thanks so answeing my questions ladies. I work out of the house 4 days a week and hubby started chemo again so that's 1 more day aweek and I shouldn't even be testing anything right now. I use cotton core wicks but want to change to LX but no energy so start testing everything all over again. Thanks so Much Christi

  7. Just a quick question. I want to make bigger container candles and wanted to give this one a try. Can you get by with making bigger container candles with a blend ,without double wicking or is it so close to a soy that I am having a nice dream today? I just wanted to make some containers that are about 4 to 4 1/2 inches in dia. All I have worked with is soy from MC. Never a blend. Or is there a blend out there that will work better that you don't have to double wick. Not everyone likes double wicks so was just wondering. Thanks Christi
