I use cs's peach at 7.5% in soy(85%) para blend and the throw is great both hot and cold.
Did you let the candle cure a few days before burning? It seem like you may want to try a larger container.
An 8oz tin can only do so much. The bigger the melt pool the stronger the throw.

I'm out of the loop....who is J&L?

I just lit a tester of MC Soothing Sandlewood.....Ahhhh so good. I don't know if it is "earthy" or not cause I never tried any others, but this one is awesome! I won't look any further.
I smell a powder smell in MC's.

Wow that is such an unacceptable way to pack them like that. How much would it have taken to put them in a plastic bag before adding peanuts?
I can't stand those peanuts....air pillows are the way to go.

Thanks for the comment.
It is still in the crock pot.....I didn't add the fo yet.
Hopefully I can cook it down.

Adding I used 31 oz of water when I should have used 18.4.

I ran my recipe through soapcalc, somehow the water percent was set at 56%! I haven't made soap for more than 6 months so the error did not catch my eye.
I used the correct amount of lye for the oils...just way too much water.
I am doing the HP Crock Pot method.
Anyone know if I can just "cook" it down?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nice post with many thought provoking points.
Do you have a shop that you store your supplies and pour or are you able to store all supplies at your home? Reason I'm asking is that would be an added cost. I'm not sure if I would be able to store so much at my home.
The biggest question for you.
How on earth did you pick the 5 scents you carry?

Yep happens all the time....I was totally shocked a few years ago to find a web site that copied every hand carved electric candle design I had on my website...only they didn't look as good. Hacked me off....but what are you gonna do??

How do you display your clamshells and air fresheners at shows?

I use crates for my displays. I lay corrugated paper down and stack them standing, the corrugated locks them in so they don't move. I also scatter them on the table....people like to pick them up and smell.
Here is a pic, they are on the bottom left side.
