If you have the JBN 50/50 and their FOs and are still having problems give Donnie (at JBN) a call. He will be more than happy to help you. He's helped me a lot in the past. You may want to try a zinc wick in that 50/50, I tried it before with my CDs and LXs and they smoked no matter what I did so I gave up on that wax as I didn't want to switch to zinc. All of you are very nice to help me . I sincerely appreciate all of your kindness. Well i started with the c3 and then added j50. did not get what I was looking for. Now i have jbn 50/50. And I also bought some fo from them. I am just trying to get that HT and CT. Nothing is knocking my socks off.I follow directions to the book. But there is so much conflicting info. I read about ez soy and eco advanced. What do you all think . -
JBN has very high grade FOs, I haven't tried every one of them, but quite a few and use quite a few. Not sure who LNS is. Lonestar? FO is only one part of why a candle may not smell. You're production methods/wax/wick may be the problem.

shipping-wise I meananother vote for millcreek here. . And try to order 2 or more gallons, it cost almost the same as one. -

blue skies and celtic moonspice throw great in soy:D

I tried Grass from MMS and it was really nice but I didn't smell it side by side to Gap's version.

They are already looking a tad moist and clumping a bit. I'll have to go with sea salt, probably drop the Epsom altogether and keep the Dead sea salt % low, oil and FO. Thanks for the help.

It's REAL SIMPLE magazine, I LOVE it! I'm going to Washington state tomorrow, all my friends and family will be getting some goodies. I can only use so much soap!lookin good... cant wait to see their brothers and sisters lol its funny how soap multiplies...Oh and 'No cook dinners" do tell what magazine that is lol... sorry but that caught my attention lol
-
btw, the soap on the right is oakmoss sage.
-
the left soap is my ginger-lemon sugar soap I made after the Texas conference. All those soap makers inspired me. you can't really see the yellow swirls as the OO made the soap kinda yellowish, at least I think that is what did it. The bar on the right is my super ugly soap but sure smells good. This is only my 5th batch of soap.

Riekes sells that, made by Libbey, although that one looks kind of ridged on the sides, the Libbey is smooth sided.

I called the tax office and had them change the cell number to my home number. She also mentioned changing it to "for their eyes only". not sure if that meant solicitors couldn't get the number anymore? Dunno. As far as a business number, that area gets kind of gray with us home crafters doesn't it? It is my personal cell phone. I don't have a separate business line. If my cell will be considered a business line then I'm sure as heck gonna write off my cell phone bill on my taxes next year!

I just had three calls in the last hour for credit card machines! The last one I asked where she got my # and she said tax assessors office. Ohhh, that must be it! I just changed my address/phone with them because I moved! I remember I was barraged with calls back when I first signed up as a biz too.
-
JBN has a good one too.

First of all, let me state, I'm pretty small time biz here, so I thought I was being pretty smart using my cell phone on my biz cards, business dealings and such. Well, just lately I've been getting solicitation calls on my cell. This is bad enough at home but to have my minutes used on a solicitation call is so irritating. I don't know how they got the #. Just wondering what experiences or advice on this anyone has. I even registered my cell on the Do Not Call registry :undecided

I was going to say the same thing. Are you shipping the oils to Germany? I can only imagine how much that costs...
-
Yep, what she said, and I use UV inhib and haven't had a problem either. You don't need to add Parrifin!Instead, add 35% V-1 wich is Cargils Votive blend to the C-3! They you still have a full Veggie/soy product!

Who is Wendy? Nevermind, don't answer that, I DO NOT need another supplier!

I'm adding this year--
Caramel Pecan Pie
Gingerbread applesauce
Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies

I bought a jar like that at World Market, but for the life of me I can't remember if it was glass or plastic. Anyway, it was 2.50 and they had bigger ones too.

you might want to start your own thread on meltpoolshi, everyone just looking in .does the melt pool have to be all across top,and how much depth should it be. Anyone -
When using straight C3 I had bubbles too. Not sure why it does that. Sometimes it downright looked like someone had spit in it or something. I really don't like that wax on its own and mix some paraffin in with it.The 51 took 4+hrs. and looked horrible...the wax had small little bubbles all in it...the wax cooled/hardened was all lumpy. Is the LX wick cotton? The 60 made little bubbles too after the 2-3rd hr. in so I blew it out and it cooled/hardened not as bad but I'm sure if I let it go longer it would do the same as the 51. I double wicked a 10oz. keepsake jar in C-1 wax and the FMP started 45 min. in (too fast) but never bubbled like the C3 wax...actually it looked great with a FMP. Has anyone tried mixing the two...C1 and C3? Just curious. Will probaby move on from Zinc...doesn't seem to work well with either C1 or C3. -
I have a Bayberry tester curing now, haven't burned it yet. Smells nice cold though. Seems I had a spiced plum or something sample from there that was really nice, but too similar to the spiced cran from SS that I was already using so I didn't use it. MC chestnuts brown sugar is nice too.I've never bought from the Scent Shop before. Like I need another supplier to try, lol. Thanks for the suggestions. MC was on the top of my list, so I might just have to go ahead and order a sample pack. I was looking to try their Spiced Gingerbread and Bayberry too.
Just wondering if anyone knows if there's
