  1. Thankfully I live close enough to be able to use SpeeDee!  That is the only way I can still afford to do business with them!  Does anyone know if they are closed for the Holidays?  I placed an order for just  box of wax on 12/13 and it still says "processing" and I can't get anyone on the phone or on email?  Thanks!

I"ve used her clams before and liked them too but hers are higher than the ones from Maple Street and also Fillmore. Have you ever used anyone else's?

No.  Kathy's are the only ones I have every used.  I have been so happy with the quality that I did not feel the need to try anyone else's!

  3. Hi all!  I have had a special request for Butterbeer, the Harry Potter drink.  I see that The Candlemaker's Store is the only one that carries that fo.  Are there any other great fragrance oils that anyone can recommend from The Candlemaker's Store?  Don't want to just order one bottle of Butterbeer, shipping is pretty high!  Thanks so much!

  4. Hi all!  Happy Easter!  I have always used and have never had an issue with Indiana Candle Supplies!  Her clams are great and at a great price.  I think they average out to be about .31each.  I use parasoy and I pour at about 152 with no issues whatsoever!  Kathy is very fast and efficient and she has wonderful fragrance oils too!  So if you are  looking for  a new clamshell supplier, I completely recommend Indiana Candle Supplies!!

Truth be told I have never discontinued any fragrance  I have one account, my biggest I bring to them new scents when ever I want.  They don't question me.  They never even know what I'm bringing..lol  Half the time time I don't.  What ever I reach for in my cabinet that moment, that is what they get...They sell as fast as I bring in and (knock on wood)...everything sells because of who they are.  As long as their label is on it, it sells....Geesh, this is my dream account.

Now I have another account  in the same town but down town and the owner of the shop I get grey hairs every time I bring something to her.  I could tell you stories that would turn your hair white.  Today she loves this and it sells.   Next week, it doesn't sell, so it's not good for her.   Then 2 months later down the road the same fragrance she reorders because of the demand for it.  Then I get "oh you changed suppliers as it is not the same and my customers turn their nose up at the fragrance so she stops ordering it...(not true of ever changing a supplier with this one).   Then the following week it smells awesome!   Then I'll get you mixed 2 different fragrances together and made a mistake...oh my god the list goes on and on.   Then this scent is so weak so I can't sell it.   Well I told her it was a soft scent and so I suggested to mark the friggin candles down if you want as you ordered it, it is custom labeled with your name on it and I am not taking it back.  Or if she would burn it, it would sell.   Or I'll get if they don't sell, will you take it back and credit me?   Are you kidding me?  This woman has me dancing through hoops.  I call this account my Nightmare from hell.   Never in my life have I ever had to deal with a customer such as her.    She sells tons and tons of my candles and she is an excellent account.  I just had to learn to close my eyes, not bow down to her every whim and stand my ground as she takes advantage of me every time and makes me feel like a piece of crap when I bring a delivery to her as I have to stand there and endure her complaining of bull sh....t comments which are so untrue.  No one would put up with as much crap as I have with this one account.  My friend tells me all the time, if she was a rep for me, I would have lost that account a long time ago.....Sorry I got off the track here.......Actually this account I brought her a ton of new samples for her to pick out which she did....Now what am I in for?   I can just here her now with the comments I'm going to get from her once they are made.....such is life....argh......

Trapp you are a Saint!!!!  God bless you for tolerating all that!  I can take a lot but I don't know if I could that much!  Lol!

  6. Hi everyone!  Wow!  Thanks for all of the wonderful insights!!  Great thoughts!  This is just something that I ran across as I was trolling for craft mall booth rentals.  I do one locally and I love it and it has really paid off for me.  Remote stock is something I have never done but was just curious.  You all remind me of all of the pitfalls that can happen and do happen!  This is a large craft and antique mall in Waco, Texas.  I love the idea of a secret shopper but I don't know a soul in Texas!  I only contacted them for more information but I am really thinking this is a road I don't want to go down!  I initially was hesitant and you have reminded me that I am also picky about my displays and I go to my booth at the local craft mall at least once a week to keep tabs on the stock and straighten displays.  I certainly would not have this option as I live in Central Illinois!  This is why I love this board!  I can get all kinds of experiences and advice!  Trapp great to see you too!  I have not heard from them yet but I really think I have already decided to stick with my local craft malls in driving distance!  Thanks so much everyone!!!!

  7. Hi everyone!  Does anyone have any experience with a remote stocking booth?  This means that you ship items to be stocked in a booth?  I live in Illinois and the craft mall is in Texas.  It is just the monthly fee and the remote stocking is free.  Any experience?  If so was it positive?  Just something I am considering!  Thanks so much!

  8. Hi!  Has anyone made a soy candle in a beer can??  I use pure soy and cd wicks but I was just looking for some tips.  I believe the beer cans could be anywhere from a 12 oz to a 24 oz?  Any info and suggestions is greatly appreciated.  A friend of mine is the manager of a restaurant with a distillery and she would love some "beer can candles".  Thanks so much!

  9. Oh Trapp!  So very sorry you had this terrible experience!  We depend on these companies to help us with our businesses!  I only use the Prairie Kitchen so when it is gone, I think I can duplicate my own.  At least I hope!  The best Marshmallow I have found is the Toasted Marshmallow from Rustic Esscentials!  Sooooo good!!!  I was told by one of my customers that it is "lick the walls" good!  Lol!!!  Hope you can find the replacements that you need!  Let me know if I can help in any way my dear!
