elliebelle
can I use Wilton gel colorants for my m & p soaps and bath bombs? I saw a tutorial for making bath bombs and they used Wilton brand gel colorants........
Starr
You CAN use food color for your soaps but like any other type of dye, be careful how much you use. Food coloring WILL color the skin. Not sure why gel colorants would be better/worse/easier/harder/etc... then a standard FD&C dye.
JacquiO
I've used food colorants in MP, lotions, and salts and they've never stained my skin when used in those applications. However my shades are generally light. I made a medium shade orange bath salt that turned the bath water orange but it didn't stain my skin or tub. Starr
I think I wasn't totally clear. Food coloring in small amounts is fine, if you over dye though, it can and likely will stain your skin.
