joanncat18
I poured my first wood wick candle. Used the wood wick from lonestar. Now I need to trim the wick down, but don't quite know how to do it. Does anyone know of any wood wick trimmers?? My container wax is soft and if I use scissors I think I will end up messing up my top.
OverSoyed
I'm not sure if regular wick trimmer would work or not, but maybe trim tin snips?
joanncat18
Yeah, I think the hardware store might be my best bet. Regular trimmers wont work due to the width of the wick. It's about 3/4 of an inch wide and thin.
OverSoyed
That's what I figure. Check out your local hardware, or Home Depot / Lowes.Either wire cutters or tin snips.
Sharon in KY
Maybe nail clippers, they come in a couple of sizes.
