Lyndsay
I want to try a recipe that calls for 2T jojoba esters. Well, I dont have any. Can I use jojoba oil??
CBE
What are you trying to make? There are different kinds of jojoba esters. They range from soft and butter like to hard "jojoba wax beads". If your recipe calls for jojoba esters (the soft butter like kind), then subbing plain jojoba oil would work... but you'll get a different outcome in the feel of the product. They can be melted and incorporated into a product. This is what will make your bath melt a somewhat harder consistency in this recipe. You won't be able to sub regular jojoba oil for jojoba esters 70. HTH!!
