Being a noobie myself I really dont know but can tell you from what i have read, and read and re-read!@ asher "Do you have a general rule for when you pour the second layer? "I generally just feel the votive and when it is coolish to the touch, not cold, not hot, just right, i start on the second layer. I always make sure to pour the second layer at a higher temp than the first just to make sure it sticks, i have had some that didnt and figured this is the reason why.
