Questions about WI 740 wicks

Ok so I have been away for a little bit from candle making and I just bought a bunch of new supplies for someone that was selling there by my house. The problem is she really didnt know what kind of stuff she had, she bought it all from someone who was going out of business and only made one candle from it.

Well she had a lot of wicks from Wick It and really didnt know which went with which so I told her that I wasnt going to take any because I didnt really know what kind of candle they were for but she gave me a box for free, which is the WI 740.

I looked them up and it said they are for 2-3" pillar/ container but is this really the size they are good with? She didnt have any container that small. So I was maybe thinking that they will be good for votives. What do you guys think? I am going to make up a few and see for my self but just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Also the wax I will be using for the votives is Enchanted Lites Soy Wax for Votive
