cozyaromas
How soon can you use a cp batch that has been rebatched, do you still wait the normal cure time or can you use the batch much sooner. For example I CP'd a batch 2 weeks ago, now I need to rebatch the batch, once I pour the batch in the mold does the curing process start over to week 1 or do I begin at week 3 with the curing. I hope this makes some kind of sense?:undecided
lsg
I am no expert; but I have rebatched using a crockpot several times. It is my understanding that heating the soap, melting and cooking it is just like hot process, so you can used the rebatched soap as soon as you take it out of the mold. Here is a link with information on rebatching:http://www.aquasapone.com.au/soapmaking/dbrebatch_soap.html
LovelyLathers
I still wait 3 weeks or so to use it. It makes it milder IMHO. But I let my HP cure for 3 or 4 weeks also.
jbren
You can use it as soon as it's out of the mold. It's like HP. Of course, older soap is always better and lasts longer.Make sure you don't add too much liquid, if any, or it will warp as it dries out.
