Cindy/WI
I'm useing feathered palm wax heart pillar mold 3"H X 5"W. I've tried CSN 14 & Eco 12, both only burned maybe 2" after 4-5 hour burn on both wicks. Any other suggestion's?TIA, Cindy
Violetsexoticcandles
Never used that sort of mold, but with that width, maybe double wicking it would help? Stella or Jakalex use palm too... maybe they can help if I bump your post up Violet:smiley2:
Stella1952
Are you single-wicking the heart shape? A heart shape is one that I would double or triple wick simply because of the shape. I do not use the type wicks you listed so I am not familiar with their sizing. I use CDNs and would test a heart-shaped candle of the dimensions you gave with 3 CDN 8s.You truly cannot judge how palm wax will burn on only one testing... what seems highly underwicked on the first burn, may catch up and burn quite nicely during subsequent burns, but a single wick is pretty much going to burn a circular hole down the middle of your candle.
