Then i discover I was out of couple color oxides and some of the Shea Butter So i left it until i got everything I put the lye in a safe place, And now i am ready my question is can i use the Lye from last week Or do i have to make a new one Thanks for the help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Roxanne Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Lye solution lasts a long time. If it was covered so you didn't lose water to evaporation, you should be good to go. I have had lye solution in a jug with the lid on and kept it for a few weeks before I made soap with no problem. As soon as the jug gets low, I make another batch.
