Jami
Candle Science has the square mason jars. I noticed that they state the jelly jar lids will fit these jars BUT......how can that be? Jelly jars have a 2.75 inch diameter and it is stated the square masons have a 3 inch diameter (like the wide mouth masons). I have the jelly jar lids from CS for my jelly jars I used to make and they are too small for my wide mouths.I am totally confused. Where can I get the lids that fit? ah-soy
Jami, are these the short squat square masons with the tall neck? If so, WSP has lids for these. I ordered a couple of dozen of the black rustics and they are really cute.
Carol M
I use the same lids for jelly jars (regular 8 oz) and 9 oz square masons. They are the ones from Tennessee Candle Supplies that come in crystal, copper/rust, and gold finishes. The jar neck sizes are the same. Winterwillow
I got mine from The Candlemakers Store. I love the Old Time Black.
Chauna1
If you are referring to the 8 oz Square Masons they sell take a look at the pictures of the Masons and Jelly Jars. They have the same size neck. The diameter is 3" but the neck is smaller than the rest of the jar. Therefore the jelly jar lids will work. I know I have the same square mason jars from CS with the jelly jar lids. They do fit right.HTH, Chauna
Beth-VT
Jelly jars and mason jars have the same neck (unless you're talking widemouth), they are a 70G.
Jami
Thanks for the clarification. When I saw the 3 inch diameter, I was thinking this is the diamter of the opening like the wide mouth masons. It doesn't take much to confuse me sometimes :embarasse
